One good thing about a refurb is possibly they have on those made sure the dang ribbon is behind the board, instead of under the fire button.
You'd be giving them more credit than I. I'm thinking all they did is screw an atty on top to make sure everything worked then ran it through a scrub-a-dub-dub and called it good. But what do I know?

Punch, beat, Mr. DpL!

They actually have the ol' 22mm rubberized rubberised ones!!!

(tempting)...

Yep, me too. Even the though rubberized finish can wear, I liked the size and feel of it better than the sizes and Sandstorm finishes.

If you log in w/ an acc't w/ a USA address the price drops to about $52 USD for a refurbished original.

I paid $81 USD for each of our 1st two and $62.50 for each of our 2nd two. I don't remember how/why I got the better pricing for the 2nd set we purchased.

A nice, wrapped, rubberized JAC is a tough specimen to beat. :D :vapor:

One day I'll rip off the wraps, and scratch those bad boys UP.

Then I'll re-wrap 'em.

I also like the size and shape of the original 22s more than the Sandystorms, but I really have to look at having a few now, and not really needing yet one more. They'll last as long as they do, and I'm fine with that.

I am tempted to buy a black refurb. I always wanted a Jac in black. Dumb question but is the Jac 75 Series B a DNA 75 mod or is it a DNA 75c mod? From my reading, I think it is not a 75c but thought I would ask the experts. :)
DNA75. Not the c.

Well, when you 'rip off' the wraps you might not have to 'scratch up those bad boys". I had a titanium wrap on one of my Jacs. I got tired of it and when I tried to remove it, it was peeling off areas of the rubberized coating while taking off the wrap. Plan B: I got a black leather like wrap to re-wrap the JAC.

I've only used VaporSkinz, and have re-wrapped both "a few" (cough) times already. Most recent was about a month ago. So far (touch wood), they're still flawless.

For anyone who has seen the movie, Johnny Dangerously, I'm like Lil with shelf paper when it comes to wraps.

"I LOVE SHELF PAPER!!!"

..and I'm sorry about that, Mike. That absolutely sucks.

Was it a VaporSkinz wrap, or someone else? I'm just curious.

Yes it was a VaporSkinz wrap. And YEP! I was quite disappointed as I was really looking to put it back to it's original finish. Both my wife and myself really like the tactile feel of the rubberized finish. Nice, non-slip grip to them.

A wood wrap on my daughter's +1 or 2.

You know, I never got that "rubberized" feel from those black JACs. They always seemed no more or no less grippy than any other mod. Now, these Aegis mods...those are grippy!!

Agreed on the finish. I wonder if they changed things as they grew. Both of ours were WAY early, before they were popular. Kat had issues with one of her doors, but the rubber stuff is still good on hers too.

I can kill anything though (finish wise).

Except ZenKote.

And XvoSticks.
