Supposedly the next gen is all SS finish, and somewhere between 23-25mm (I don't remember but it's back in this thread somewhere). They told that to a person on "Forum X", and he posted a copy of the conversation.

But we don't know anything for sure yet, at least that I know of.

I'm happy with the current version so I probably won't jump at the next. It's perfect for my preferences.

Well, i signed up on the JAC website and subscribed to the newsletter. Love that stainless look simply because there is no paint to scratch. If its easy to take apart i could send out the SS parts to get Melonite or BlackIce teflon coated. Those treatments are insanely hard to damage and cleanup very easily.

I reckon... but if in doubt, this thingy is way, way well worth ordering in its current form and finish. You know how long weeks can be. Kinda like dog created the world in seven days and all...

Even with being ever so careful rolling the battery cover back on...I got some little chips in the finish on the edges...a black sharpie hides those quite nicely

I had (had) the same wish, but now, with both of mine wrapped, I barely remember the batt cover! And sadly, some of ours got a bit, ummm, marred.

The SS version doesn't appear to be really 25mm to me. They just put a lip around it to hide tank overhang, like the istick 30w.
That means it will feel much the same in the hand, and I'm now interested.
