Then you sadly missed out on a truly iconic vaping device. Sometimes you can find previously owned Provari's in ECF's classified section or E-bay.

In its heyday, it was arguably one of the top mods ever mass produced. Only the bottom feeder Reo Grand had such a large following of loyal fans. Both were reliable, dependable, and almost indestructable.

Aside from its industry leading workmanship and customer service, many owners (myself included) insisted it just vaped "smoother" than other mods. This was likely due to its unique chip made in the USA to military specs and tuned to an 800 hz frequency, while most other chips at the time were tuned to 33 hz.

The Rattlesnake Effect- Why the Cheapo VV [Exception Itaste MVP] Don't Vape the Same as a Provari or DNA20D

Why Provari?
Absolutely.
In the not too distant future, you'll see some of my very wonderful Greek mechs in the classies. But, never the Provari's.

Tis the Darwin of which you speak, I do believe. It tempted me muchly.

One still lives among us (cough, @Katdarling , cough). Bedazzled even! :D

Gawd, I still love 'em. My instinct says that my last vape on this planet will be made on Provari v2(x). Mine still take a daily beating, and I've no plans to change that fact.

Mainly the GMZs and Ti's get the workouts, but I've been known to break out some others (just for fun).

Provari was tough as nails. Machined stainless steel all the way. First linear (high frequency stab). If you had one, there was 0 motivation to get anything else.

Provari was tough as nails. Machined stainless steel all the way. First linear (high frequency stab). If you had one, there was 0 motivation to get anything else. Hence that's why I managed to stay in in the cave for so long. Jac is my third vape mod, and it's not even holding a candle to provari execution wise. Design wise I dig it, but soft touch on button and uber mega sandstorm coating will probably last a year, maybe 2. Dna is allright though, works and hopefully reliable. Why not do the solid female plate on the mod and go with baked ceramics for coating? I would definitely pay premium to be able too retire mods when they become technolocally obsolete not when they break.

Could be about cost. I got Provari 2.5's when they were at the end of their run and cheap, but people who bought them early on paid a lot. That worked when there wasn't much choice out there. But take a Jac, make it out of SS, upgrade the 510 design, put on a high tech finish, maybe it would price itself out of the market. I guess Dicodes does OK, but it's not a mass market item. Way out of my league.

I paid over $200 for my first Provari 2.5 with the blue cerakote ceramic finish in 2012.

I'm not sure a ceramic finish is the answer to finding a durable coating for a mod. The above Provari does have some blemishes and scratches after YEARS of use. I guess I'm tough on mods. Maybe Zencoate finish? Supposively as hard as diamond.

Zencoate finish

My black JAC began showing wear within a months time. I put a pebble-grained faux leather vinyl wrap on it from Vapor Skinz for cosmetic purposes. I actually really like the feel of the pebble grain. I'll probably do the same for my sandstorm JAC as its starting to show signs of wear, too.

I got a blue one. Took it to work and after one night banging around in my pocket with the keys it had a couple of small scratches. Keep it at home now. The satin silver seems indestructible. Not a mark after 2 1/2 years hard use.

For what it is, at the price, I reckon the Jac is a good deal. Nice looking good TC mod. I put a wrap on mine too. Not many mods around that can take a beating and go on working and looking nice for ever like a satin silver Provari.

Yeah, the shiny blue, purple, red, etc. scratch up quite easily. I've got a purple one that I won't touch because it looks so good, and scratches so easily. Not sure what I'll do with it.

The ZenKotes are indeed amazing, Bad. They simply don't muck up, and always look exactly like they did the very first day they arrived. I've got to give it to Mike for them - they're like nothing I've ever even imagined.

The XvoStick finish (Mini Ecig) is amazing, and almost impossible to mess up, but it's not even close to the ZenKote Provis. The Zens are light years away from anything else I've ever seen, vape or otherwise.

He did well. He did US well.

Shout out for the Rockwell scale! (What IS that? )

It's a scientific process calculated at the number of times an entity can listen to this song (in a row) before banging its head against a wall.

The XvoStick made it to 60! NOT BAD!!!!

Next quandry, exactly where is the head on an XvoStick?

Unfortunately, Winblows, I suspect a number of us have had all sorts of magnet issues.

I removed mine with needle nose pliers. Then, I carefully fitted the mag to make sure which side was to go out, and which was the top (determining the correct fit). Then, I marked it with a silver SHARPIE before gluing it back in.

Good luck. It's not a job for the rushed at heart. ;)

I did it with a VTwo Mini. Twice. The first time I had superglued it, so that one was toast. The other time I was able to remove the reversed magnet with another strong magnet. If you can pick up a rare earth magnet, that might do it for you.

The only other thing I can think of is to try to remove the cover magnet. If it comes out any more easily you could flip it as well and solve the problem that way.

You can super glue something to the magnet then pull it out. Soak it in nailposlish remover. Just make sure you don't put to much so it won't run to the edges and get stuck even more lol @Winblows
Thanks!
After MANY attempts, I succeeded ! :)
