radiokaos and Kissysmom,

I already addressed what cost is supposed to go where in an earlier post. I guess both of you missed it. So you two missed the point.

So I guess the both of you see no problem with charging $12.95 for a $4.80 shipping cost? Nice to see that you both have money to burn.

I will state once again for those of you that missed the boat.

Shipping costs are supposed to cover what is says... let me see what it says. Shipping costs.

Now if you want to charge for personally stuffing the padded envelopes that will fall under what is called a handling cost. Which is supposed to be put on your web site or explained in the shipping/handling area of your site.

Costs for the little pieces of bubble wrap and the padded envelopes and such are business costs and are supposed to be figured into the cost of your product.

Doing business that way ensures that there are no END SURPRISES at check out.

I was with ebay for many many years. I still run a business but I do so so cheaply to my clients that I hardly make a profit. LOL! But I DO NOT stick my clients, every aspect is explained. There are no surprises.

So, now do you two get it?

Oh I get it.

As the executive director of a dental supply company that fills internet orders every single day - I get it. I just don't happen to agree with you.

There were no surprises. Shipping/Handling fees are clearly stated on the website.

I get it, and agree 100% with you.

Since the move the cost of a 30ml bottle of juice has gone up also, by $ 3.00.

3 bucks here, 3 bucks there, mulitplied by XXXXXXX adds up to a lot.

Ohhhhhhhh! I understand why you're upset about that. I noticed that shipping had gone up at checkout, but if Steve has the old shipping prices still listed elsewhere on the site he needs to rectify that right away.

Steve? That's bad m'kay?

Anyone can charge whatever they want, that's what the free world economy is all about. But jacking and not changing the hidden costs are deceptive selling practices. This supplier finds time to post on this message board frequently but has no time to change his website showing increased shipping costs? Or even post on the message board that shipping prices are going to be jacked up. Sounds shady to me.

Yeah. Steve's shady.

He busts his ... to get everything right since day one. Moves his entire household across the country. Invests more money into his business. Then decides to start screwing over all of his customers just for ****s and giggles.

OR

He's going through a difficult transition and is working his ... off. Some things are screwed up and need to be fixed. No doubt he'll fix them and make all of his customers happy.

I never said he was shady, I don't know this supplier personally and either do 99% of the people on this message board but most talk about him by his 1st name and think he is like a family member.

I said the situation of jacking up shipping costs without notice is shady or maybe its just incompetence. Either way it is wrong. This is a person that has posted on this board over 4k times in the last 10 months but has not been able to post to this serious allegation? That's wrong also.

I received my order in a USPS priority mail shipping box. There was NO cost for packaging except for the bubble wrap for the liquids. My order was over $100, so shipping was free. But if I was at $99.99, and charged $12 for shipping and received everything in a FREE USPS priority mail box, I may thing the shipping was too high as well.

Hey Robert,

Thanks for pointing this out for us bud.

We have been in the midst of trying to switch from Flat Rate shipping to Live USPS Shipping to allow people to order LOTS of juice, but not have to paid the standard $10.95 shipping on anything over $45 ...

When playing with the settings, we kept the live shipping rates + a $1.50 handling fee per order ... however, we never went live with it, and it kept the handling fee on there for some reason.

For those that were charged that extra $1.50 ... Let us know and we'll throw in a few cores or the like free on your next order!

Sorry about that guys

No Prob after reading this I noticed I was charged the $1.50 so guess we can work it out on next order.

Anyways its much better knowing I could order any $ amount higher than $99 and get free shipping and a discount code. One of my orders from a different supplier charged $88 ship for a $500 order back on March 13th I still dont have that order yet and that order isnt just for me LOL but was my choice since puresmoker was still getting setup at the time.

The good news even after waiting for the move etc... I will still get my PS order before my alternate choice :D

I only ordered from puresmoker once and I must say that customer service is top notch. PS also keeps good customer relations as evidenced by this forum. On the other hand I am on the boat that shipping costs are a little overboard IMO. There are other US suppliers that have very good shipping rates and have almost the same, if not equal, customer service quality and relations. IMO shipping should depend on what you order not according to the dollar amount you order. A shipment of 10 atomizers should not cost more than $5 to pack and ship. Please don't take this as an attack or anything I am just merely addressing my opinion as a customer and a "barely making ends meet" college student.

10 atomizers get's you free shipping :D even better $5.00 bucks!

At this point, flat rate shipping is the easiest for us to keep track of.

Many, MANY, people hit the free shipping mark ... If I went over the shipping #'s in 2008 alone, we were upside down on shipping roughly 4/1 .... meaning, we only recouped 25% of the shipping we paid! Hope that helps answer some of your concern ainako ...
