I just ordered for my second time. I ordered some low (11mg) CashCap in a 10ml bottle for the wife to try.

My last order for myself was for a 30ml bottle of special blend (16mg).

When I went to check out the price was higher than I expected and I went what the hey??? Upon looking your shipping had jumped from $5.95 all the way up to $7.45. Now I just got my first order yesterday and it only cost you around $4.50 to ship to me. I am also in TN so I also get stuck paying tax that others do not have to pay.

Now this kind of is ticking me off. I am closer to you (but not close enough to drive) but yet have to pay more while you make money off the shipping that I am paying. Does not bode well for me to do a third order through you.

When Steve reopened - I got in early and and ordered over 100.00 to get free shipping. When I went to pay, it said they were out of the cashcap juice that it let me order in the first place. Now, if I want to get it, when and if it comes in, I have to pay shipping. I really wish these suppliers would let you choose 'snail mail' - no priority - and pay lower shipping costs. It is not going to cost them but a buck and a half to send a bottle of juice regular mail???????

So he makes an extra $2.95. That is supposed to cover shipping material, packing material, labels, receipts, time it takes to package your order and see that it gets mailed. Seems like Steve is the one being "stuck". Plus, it's not his fault you live in TN and have to pay tax.

Houdini,
If he has to stick his clients with an extra 3 bucks then that bites. But be upfront and honest about it on the site in the first place.

I used to be an ebay seller of many items for a long time and I never did that. I charged the customer shipping and that was it. Also it does not cost 3 dollars for that little padded envelope and little piece of bubble wrap my bottle was wrapped in. Furthermore your costs to "run" your business is supposed to be recouped in what you charge for the product. NOT done in a SURPRISE end run on the shipping.

That is not a way to be upfront with running a business.

Also I never stated that it was his fault that I live in TN and have to pay tax. My point was that I am closer to him so give me a bit of a break in that ridiculous shipping charge.

There is a very simple option if you don't want to pay the extra shipping costs. That option is to order somewhere else. I have no issues or gripes about having to pay an extra couple of bucks for shipping, which I did when I placed an order for some juice and a USB pass.

I know that. That is why the last line of my opening post.

I just want a reason why so high of a price jack up in shipping over just a couple days between orders. Now when I get this order and see that there are colorful pretty pamplets or the bottle is not only inside a little piece of bubble wrap but also boxed then I may see the justification in the shipping price hike.

But one other poster brought up a good recommendation. Offer different shipping methods.

I asked my regular supplier (not puresmoker) if they would ship regular mail. They were happy to, it took a day longer but was almost half the cost. Most people want stuff in a hurry so i'm guessing that is why things are shipped that way.

If you like his products it's worth sending an email isn't it ????

I guess I will send an email. Good suggestion. But that price jack caught me by surprise and kind of ticked me off.

Please keep in mind that this thread had nothing against the product. I do like the taste of the special blend that I got yesterday. So much better than the carts that came with my kit. Believe me, if I had $100 to spare all at once I would order that much and save on the shipping. But times are rough and I don't.

SIGH....

Guys, there are other costs equated to shipping.

Taking time to package, sort and print invoices. Plus you have extra supplies needed to Purchasing extra envelopes from Uline, etc. As I stated before you can always purchase you gear elsewhere if you don't like the shipping costs. If you don't mind the wait or possible seizure from US Customs then order from overseas.

Don't even bother wasting your time trying to explain it all. They don't get it.

They expected Steve to expand his business and stock more inventory, pay more for space and labor, do more work, do it faster, do it better, run it perfectly and eat the extra costs himself.

Its freaking Walmart mentality.

Some suppliers seem to think were here to serve them. They'll be the ones to disappear as time goes on. Some suppliers will listen and adjust to their customers. They will be here as long as they want to be. Some suppliers will listen and adjust and do new things to be one step ahead of other suppliers and will grow as big as they want to be.

radiokaos and Kissysmom,

I already addressed what cost is supposed to go where in an earlier post. I guess both of you missed it. So you two missed the point.

So I guess the both of you see no problem with charging $12.95 for a $4.80 shipping cost? Nice to see that you both have money to burn.

I will state once again for those of you that missed the boat.

Shipping costs are supposed to cover what is says... let me see what it says. Shipping costs.

Now if you want to charge for personally stuffing the padded envelopes that will fall under what is called a handling cost. Which is supposed to be put on your web site or explained in the shipping/handling area of your site.

Costs for the little pieces of bubble wrap and the padded envelopes and such are business costs and are supposed to be figured into the cost of your product.

Doing business that way ensures that there are no END SURPRISES at check out.

I was with ebay for many many years. I still run a business but I do so so cheaply to my clients that I hardly make a profit. LOL! But I DO NOT stick my clients, every aspect is explained. There are no surprises.

So, now do you two get it?

I have to agree with Kissy, Steve's reputation certainly proceeds him. It seems alot of new people are trying to deal with him after the move and the HK problems. Everyone needs to calm down and give the situation a couple of weeks to work it's self out. As far as the shipping cost i stated my opinion about that in a post above.
