I only use my eGo at home. So, I prefer dripping rather than using carts. Do they make a mouthpeice for the dura atomizer that isn't a built in cart? I've sliced off most of the cart holder with a razor knife so I don't have to worry about alignment, but I'd rather something better that doesn't restrict airflow.
Check out some of the T tips from super t manufacturing..mouthpieces made for direct dripping in brass and soon stainless steel

I have a question but keep in mind I am very very new to all this. Is the e-go a 2 piece or 3 piece and does it come with a passthough (think that is the name) or a portable battery charger?

3-piece. It's basically a cool big battery for a 510. So you can use 510 passthroughs on them (which of course have a diffferent shape), but so far there is no PCC in sight. Of course, it's not needed quite as much, either.

why couldn't they make a bigger cartridge that holds 2-4ml !!
Not quite 2-4ml (I too wish! ;)), but Totally Wicked now do Mega Carts for the 510 that hold about 22-24 drops which at 20 drops per ml, is just over 1ml. But - one can't use the carts with the standard atties, they can only be used with the new Mega Atomisers as the barrel needs to be long enough to hold the longer cart. I tried one (with no cart mod) and it does seem to last longer than the standard carts. It does mean that one can see about 1cm of the atomiser barrel above the cover but, if one likes mixing colours, it allows one to see the colour of the atomiser if it's not black. If the mega atomiser is black, then it looks no different but is just a bit longer.

The eGo will also work with a KR8 cart using a 501 -> KR8 adapter, giving longer cart life.

For those who like the 901 atty, it will work with a 501 -> 901 adapter too, although the cart size is no bigger of course! :)

Hi I can't see the pictures I am blind and I would like to know how does the ego compare to the silver bullet compared to length and inhail satisfaction thanks.
Timmy

I've not used a Silver Bullet, but these are the dimensions of the eGo if it helps:
Width: 14mm at its widest point.
Length: 118mm with atomiser and cart.
Weight: 35g with atomiser and cart.

The eGo is shaped a bit like a cone. The widest part is the battery part of it. The cover, which covers the atomiser, is cone shaped and narrows down to the size of the cart at the top of the cover. The button to activate the battery is in the middle. The button is large enough to be easily felt if I close my eyes.

The whole thing is smooth and flat with no bumps etc except for a "ring" which is about 6mm wide around the centre where the button is. This "ring" is indented which I think helps to find the button without having to look for it or to feel around too much for it. One's fingers instantly seem to find it. So might that be a plus point for you?

When assembling the eGo, there's an extra step to take compared to normal e-cigs or to a normal 510. This extra step is to slip on the cover over the atomiser and then screw it on; not too unlike when one has to unscrew an end cap with big battery mods to insert or remove a removable battery. The cover screws on and off quite easily and smoothly.

One can remove the cart for filling without removing the cover, but I've found it better and easier to refill to remove the cover, even though it means some extra fiddling with the cover to do so. Changing atomiser with the cover on can be a bit tricky though, and some carts can make the top of the cover a bit tight to squeeze over the cart. Again, it would be best to remove the cover to change atomisers.

It feels fabulous in the hand and is very comfortable to hold. I'm disabled and have small weak hands with fingers that can cramp up if trying to use end buttons, so I've had trouble trying to find a lightweight and slim enough bigger battery model with a side button, but I love this one - in all respects.

Like others have said, the battery life is absolutely outstanding and it doesn't weaken the more one uses it. I'm on my 3rd or 4th day of using it (alternating with several normal ones, I might add, but using the eGo quite a lot nevertheless) and the battery's as good as the minute I first put it in. I've not had that with any other e-cig, no matter how many I alternate between.

If you like the 510, then the eGo is definitely worth a try in my opinion, if you can manage it.

Not knowing the Silver Bullet, I'm afraid I can't give a comparison on inhalation satisfaction.

I hope this helps, even if only in some small way.

Thanks Kelemvor, appreciate the feedback

so, 1st megacart seemed dry. and i was able to fill 19 drops in, opposed to the 13 i fill the normal 510 carts with.

checked with pure water in an empty megacart, and its nearly full with 19 drops.

for me the carts hold 33% more juice and not 50%, and i have no clue why it was necessary to make the carts incompatible to the current atomizers.

I have found the eGo to be even better when using a 901 atty and cart on it . I have the adapters from 510 to 901 and 901 to 510 that I ordered from AltSmoke. I have the Screwdriver MkII as well as the eGo that I vape with most often. Switching the attys and carts out between the two makes each one 10x better to vape.

So just a tip: Use 510 attys and carts on your SD, and use 901 attys and carts on your eGo and you'll be in love with your e-cigs all over again!

It is almost the same size and weight as putting an double A battery onto an atomizer. Airflow is slightly better than a silver bullet and equivalent to a regular 510 battery.

The silver bullet allows you to use two cr2 batteries at the same time giving six volts which will increase the heat at the atomizer, this in turn produces a harsher throat hit and can with some juices increase the flavour and vapour which is why some people like it. The downside is that some juices taste worse and atomizers don't last as long, at least in my experience. The silver bullet also allows you to use one 18650 battery at 3.7 volts which lasts a very very long time. The downside for me was the size of the thing, I wouldn't feel comfortable using it outside and also I'm so clumsy it would probably lose its looks after a while. The Ego for me fulfils two objectives, much longer battery life in a stealthy package with a larger switch than a regular 510 battery.

So can you use the 18650 battery in the eco which would last longer?

No, the eGo essentially IS a battery. The only "parts" of the "eGo" are the battery and atomizer housing. The "other parts" are ANY standard 510 atomizer and ANY standard 510 cartridge.

Unlike the mods (SB, Prodigy, Protege, Chuck etc), the eGo is a proprietary battery... Just like a standard 510 battery, except this one is rated at 600mAh. Most mods have a place to put generic batteries ie 18650, cr123a, 10440. You can buy a cr123a at Radio Shack, but if you ask them for an eGo battery, they will look at you cross-eyed! The eGo battery is manufactured by JoyeTech, one of the largest electronic cigarette manufacturers in China. The "eGo" is also sold at the "Torpedo" by TW. Janty and TW each had JoyeTech manufacture this new model to their individual specs (ie logos, branding, boxing), but I suspect the components are quite similar if not identical. Whether you choose Janty or TW, you are buying a brand (and the customer support that backs it). A JoyeTech ecig is a JoyeTech ecig.

The upside to the mods is that the battery cost is much cheaper (~$5ish, depending on type of battery). Janty does not have the eGo batteries for sale on the site yet, but I suspect the eGo batteries will cost around the same as the TW Torpedo batteries which are sold for $23 each or $16 each if you buy 5.

However, the mods require the "battery housing" which is essentially the "unit" you purchase. So, for example, you can buy a $100 mod, then buy an 18650 and put it inside... OR, just buy an eGo battery and screw on your 510 atomizer. Of course, both need chargers. The eGo "set" comes with 2 batteries, a charger, an atty and an atty housing.

The benefits of the eGo are that it is much smaller and lighter than mods (about half the weight of my Protege), which makes sense as there is no "battery housing".

Hope this helps!
~M.
