I received my eGo yesterday..and all i can say is .Woot!..im loving this thing already..very sleak little PV..first batt just gave out..and i was very impressed with the last hit..so far it has held true to everything that has been stated in this thread..i can already see that my trusty ol' bartlby is going to be seeing a bit of downtime..NOW..just waiting for my 510 cartomizers to come in..and i think i will have the all round perfect set-up for home and the road..Hell Ya Baby!

Confusing so if the ego is just the battery part what is the name of the whole unit that includes a the adamizer and cartridge thanks.
The eGo is the whole kit..it consists of 2 batts..1 janty dura atty(which is a 510)..usb charger + wall adapter..+ 5 pe-filled carts..hope that helps..

It is so confusing what choice to make between prodigy, silver bullet and pv9, I think that is what is is called.
heh..You may as well just go ahead and get them all..it's almost inevitable anyway..at least in my experience..no matter what you buy..next week you'll want another..then another..heh.it's all good...:D

Couple of questions for anyone who's used the eGo:

I was under the impression (from TW's Uk site) that the eGo/Tornado could only be used with 510 Mega carts/attys, not the standard ones - was I wrong?

Is there any difference in terms of vapour/hit etc between using the eGo and a 510 USB passthru?

I haven't tried the passthru, but the lack of consistency of the 510 batteries is really annoying me. Not to mention that both of the ones from my kit 'stick'.

Basically I'm trying to decide whether to replace/add to my 510 accessories or try something else.

The T.W eGo/ Tornado uses both the maga and standard 510 attys.

Hi all. I guess I have to post a few times before I can start thread with new questions. I did just order the Ego as my first ever e-cigarette experience. Pretty exited about it because my smoking has got to the point where I am coughing. I hope I enjoy it, although I really wanted to get the Janty V3 stick to start with since I work form home smoking in front of my computer all day and would have liked to be able to recharge and toke as I worked, but there is no availibitly of the V3 atm and I am just sick of smoking analogs ( I guess that is what you call them), but will probably get a V3 stick when available if I find that e-cigs make me feel better.

Thanks for great forum to help me somewhat understand better how things work.

The tornado/eGo comes with the standard 510 atty and carts. You can also use the mega atty and carts on the eGo/tornado. I ordered a tornado and also ordered the mega atty and carts to use on it.

You made a great choice for a first one. I wish it would have been around when I started.

I agree 100%. I started off with a Janty Dura (510) when it first came out. Back then, it was an automatic battery and a new design. I suffered through the inevitable bugs of a new design, and did so gladly, because I loved the vape it provided. I finally gave it up, though, because the batteries sucked. I literally was using them faster than I could recharge them (yes, even with the PCC).

The eGo for me is a dream come true . . . small size, powerful vape, and an insane battery life. I can throw it into my jeans pocket and go off for the day. If Mik can get that Tesla filter onto the market, my life will be complete.

Frankly, if I had had the eGo in the beginning, I don't know that I would have felt the need to venture into mods.

well you prob caught the rite time..if i waited one more week coulda saved 5 bucks..lol..all good..they dropped the price to 79.99 to match The Tornado..which comes with an extra atty..but doesnt have the same warranty period..eh..just have to wait and see which is the better option..

Also just noticed spare batts are now available(from TW) for 22.95 and a 5 pk for 79.99 along with charger adapters and cones..that sure didnt take long..lmao..:w00t:
