I've been vaping the Janty ego for the past 6 months and like it pretty good. But I've been seeing all these great posts on the Riva and decided to break out the old credit card again. Ordered my Riva from vaporjunction.com and I must first say the service was excellent. Ordered on a Saturday and it was delivered on the following Wednesday. I am just a bit disappointed with the Riva though as I was really expecting an improvement over the ego. The vapor quantity and throat hit are close to the same but the Riva just doesn't seem to be as well made as the Janty ego. On one of the Riva batteries the manual button is almost flush with the body of the battery and I have to press pretty hard just to make sure it turns on. The other battery button sticks up about 1/8 inch and works better. The Riva cone is not threaded properly and it's hard to screw on and off. Battery life is about the same on both the Riva and Ego, about 1 day between charges for me. No complaints there on either one. The Riva's price is cheaper and that is good. The Riva's availability also seems better. Janty seems to have a real inventory problem. Everytime I need to order something it seems they're out of stock. I've put the Riva back in the box and saving it for emergencies. Just vaping the Janty Ego again now. It is good but I'm still looking for something better. I want more vapor quantity and more of a throat hit. When smoking analogs I was a full flavor man and I still haven't found a PV that comes close. That's about it. Nothing scientific but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

That's strange...I also have both the Riva and the eGo, and for me, the Riva hits much harder and produces substantially more vapor than the eGo. For whatever reason, the draw also feels fuller on the Riva.

Fit and finish is a little better on the eGo, but as many others have pointed out, the button on the eGo feels a little chintzy. Like you observed, battery life/charge time seems pretty similar. I haven't had much trouble with my cone screwing on...at least not enough to really irritate me.

(What e-juice are you using? Perhaps this is part of the problem.)

All in all, for me, the Riva wins hands down. Wanna trade eGo for Riva batteries???

Hey toothboy,
I actually have 3 Janty Egos, black, silver and platinum and in reality even they aren't all created equal. The silver one vapes the best, most vapor and stronger throat hit. The black is ok and the platinum one is the worst. I know the colors have nothing to do with but I guess it just means there's just a little bit of difference in the manufacturing??? Anyhow, for me the Riva is #4 out of the 4 PV's I own. I've tried liquid from many different vendors. My favorite is Aroma Ejuice menthol with 26 mg nicotine.

I would go with a omega or any 5v device if you want more bang for your buck. the LR atties get costly it would be much more cost effective to just device that does the trick all the time than to mock it on 3.7 . for me I get better throat hit and better vapor still from my 801 atty I would love to get an adapter for my Riva and see how it does on 3.7. I know a lot of people say they leak but I see the 510 atty leak more than an 801.
