Hey everyone, getting my ducks in a row right now and getting ready to place my first order, but I have a question. Im going to order the Janty Extended Classic Kissbox starter kit, one for me and one for my wife. Figured that would be the best route to take since it comes complete with all the goodies. Figure I'll order a couple extra atomizers and batteries too. Will order a couple of 5 pk carts to start off with, but want to try different flavors, so, was wanting to order from a reputable company an assortment of flavors to start with. Personally, im a menthol smoker, wife is a regular tobacco flavor person, but she is excited about the different flavors. I would like to order some empty carts and fill them myself with the different flavors, so, can anyone tell me where to buy the carts and what kind will fit the kissbox extended??? Didn't see empty carts on the jantyusa website for the kb extended and only a limited amount of e-juice. What company would be the best for e-juice??? Thanks in advance for helping a newbie!!!!

Hi, EPS. :)

The Janty warranty is a good one, but the rub is they expect you to use Janty liquid with their products. I suppose it makes sense if you're going to give a 6 month warranty on an atomizer that you want to ensure that people don't put bad juice in it. :) In any event, if you look at the warranty book, it's pretty clear that using non-Janty juice could void the warranty. Of course, how that would be determined is another issue entirely.

Personally, I'd only order one extra atomizer because they have a 6 month warranty. Hopefully, the spare would hold you in the event you have a problem and have to wait on a warranty replacement. And since you and your wife will have the same model, perhaps one spare will do between the two of you. :)

As for the extra battery, honestly, I typically have at least 3 batteries for a product. However, I use the Janty Kissbox so much with the USB passthrough battery that the two they supplied have been sufficient. But, like I said, I use it mostly tied to the USB and I don't take it out and about much. If you plan on using it out and about a lot, then, yes, get an extra battery.

As for the cartridges, I generally just buy the prefilled cartridges, then when they get low, I refill them/top them off. I figure the cost of an empty is close enough to the cost of a filled cartridge that it winds up working just as well to get the prefilled.

If I want to try an entirely different flavor, I just vape it down then rinse the batting within the cartridge, dry it, stuff it back in and refill. There are all sorts of great tutorials on how to refill a cartridge--easy as pie. Promise.

I also sometimes make my own filling for cartridges when the stuffing starts to get too shredded and frayed. You can buy polyester batting at craft stores that works pretty well, and it's dirt cheap.

As for where to find the liquids, Janty has a fair numer. If you don't want to wait for them to get in stock, Diet Smokes carries Janty liquid:

Janty Liquid - Diet Smokes .com

And if you want to branch out beyond that, the world is your oyster. PureSmoker is popular, as is Johnson Creek.

Hi JustJulie,

Nice to hear from another missourian!!! Thanks so much for your reply. We're really excited about going to an e-cig. and i've read and watched videos, so topping off, refilling carts should be no problem. Was just a little concerned when I saw on the jantyusa website that they were out of stock on some of the juice. And, I do want to use the janty liquid, just didn't know of another distributor until now. Guess I just wanted to hear from someone with experience before we jump in with both feet. Your post is extremely helpful, so once again a big thank you!!!!

For awhile there, I was worried that I was the only e-smoker in the state, but lately Missourians have been coming out of the woodwork. :D

I think you'll really like your Kissbox. It gives a smooth vape so you can really taste the flavors.

I was glad to see your shopping list. I think that most folks are quite tentative, dipping their toes into the water, so to speak. But to really give e-smoking a fair chance, you need some decent equipment and some liquids to top off to ensure good vapor continues.

I know I fell in love with my e-cig after the first day . . . and after only a week, I freaked out realizing how quickly I was going through my cartridges and liquids. (You tend to vape A LOT when you first start.) I was sweating waiting on my next order of liquids, hoping I'd have enough to last me. Never will be in that situation again, thank goodness!

Anyway, give me a holler if you're ever in my neck of the woods (West St. Louis County). I keep hoping to find e-smokers in my area to compare toys and liquids with. :)

I figure that if we're going to do this, then do it correctly and get everything that we need. I'll probably use the usb passthrough and a regular batt to and from work, my wife will probably just use the batts. Now, one more question.....Im going to order the mint carts.....how many do I need, and yes I know, it depends on how much you smoke.....Im not a big smoker, usually a pack every two to three days.....and when I say that everyone says I should just quit, but I like to smoke, and have for over 30 years. My wife smokes a pack a day, regular flavor tobacco. So with me topping off and refilling the carts, I know that 5 comes in a pack, so how many packs should I start with for myself and for my wife???? Know where west county is.....we'll yell at you if we get over that way again. If you ever come to the Branson area, give me a yell.........

Branson? I've had many wonderful trips to Silver Dollar City. :)

I'm in Wildwood, MO, West St. Louis County.

How many carts? Geesh. That's a hard one. I don't go through them very quickly at all since I've figured out how to top off/refill. I know it sounds terrible, but I use only one or two cartridges a week because of that. Also, I use other e-cigs to shake things up a bit, so I don't use my Kissbox exclusively.

I'd probably wind up getting four or five boxes for a total of 20-25 cartridges. If you're going to be topping off/refilling, that will give you plenty of time to figure out what you like/don't like before placing your next order for supplies. And if things get bad, you can always restuff the cartridges with clean batting. (I just throw spent cartridges into a ziplock baggie and deal with them every few weeks.)

Also, I noticed you said you're a menthol smoker--I know it may sound like a "duh-uh," but the Janty Polar Mint is NOT menthol. It's a bit sweet, and it tastes nice . . . but definitely not menthol.

I work just around the corner from SDC.....when I go outside to smoke can hear the trains whistle.

Ok, that gives me some idea where to start with the carts.......

I smoke Vantage Menthol, not too much tobacco flavor, not too much menthol flavor, unlike salem, kool, newport, etc. So........any suggestions on what liquid or carts??????

Flavors are sooooooooo subjective. Plus, you'll no doubt be surprised at what flavors you wind up liking.

My personal Janty favorites are RY4 and French MLB. The RY4 is a very sweet tobacco, and the French MLB is smooth but not as sweet. And while it's probably not terribly feminine to admit, I also like the cigar/heavy shag for its strength (but sometimes I tone it down a bit with a drop or two of RY4).

You'll have to find your own way with the flavors, I'm afraid. I've tried flavors that made me gag, while others were convinced it was the best thing since sliced bread.

Truthfully, though, this should be an excuse for a road trip to St. Louis. My stash of liquids is nothing short of frightening, and I'm happy to share. :)

hahahahaha.........you never know about a road trip!!!! hey, also a good excuse for you to head down here to the lake!!!

I guess you're right when you say I'll have to find my own flavors....everyone has his or her opinion of what is good and what is bad, but thats what makes the world go round.

Thanks again for all of your help, with all this in mind, guess I'll be online tonight with Jantyusa placing my order!!!!!
