The JS uses the 10440 size (AAA) batt and from what I've read here in the forum, the batts from Janty are tough to beat for quality and life.

Others have complained about bad lots from DX and that their 500mah ratings don't live up to real life use.

I stuck with Janty the whole way - 4 extra batts and their wall charger. 3 AAA batts fit in the Janty atty box too :)

you have to match cart model with atty model 99% of the time 510 w510 801 w/801 112 and the 801 are similar and a few others but you can search for compatibility

not compatible
510
801

901

Was posting in another JS thread earlier, but can't find it now so I'll just pick up here I guess. lol. When you use an adapter & change atty's do you have to use carts that match that atty? Not sure if that's clear. Could I use a 510 atty with the 801 carts it came with or would I have to buy 510 carts??

Most 510 and 901 carts are compatible. There are some 901 carts that are just a tad too big for the 510 but they can be made to fit by shaving just a little off where the juncture is to the atty.

And since this thread is revived, I thought I'd post a recent confirmation of Elendil's use of the needle tip squeeze bottle:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ed-siringe-sumtin-refill-cart.html#post462794

I like this method best on the 801/112/4072 atty/cartridges. Here's why..

Because the cart is so big one can vape off the top and then refill and vape that off, etc. etc. and sometimes never let the juice in the bottom of the filler to wick upward. As a result - I noticed this on an original 'Virginia' prefilled cart, that juice esp. if tobacco based can get quite strong if it sits in the cart too long. Virginia is a pretty good tobacco based juice - a flue cured taste with a mild tobacco when fresh but if it sits at the bottom of a 801 it can get nasty.

I had a straw mod and I tried PTB on the Janty Stick and they work well but if you're topping off you're still leaving some juice at the bottom. The needle tip fills from the bottom up and pushes the juice up from the bottom on each 'top off', actually 'bottom off'. And so the effect of having bottom juice there for a few days doesn't happen. I'm finding this works better than the straw mod. If you're a PTB fan you can still use that. The needle tip link is in Elendil's post.

The same 'mechanics' aren't as important with the smaller carts where you can vape them dry in one session... something that simply doesn't happen with the 801. Well, it doesn't happen often :) Esp. when you have 2 going - one at the computer and one at the tv/living room chair.

Hope someone finds this helpful and thanks to Elendil or whoever might have been before him to point out this method...

I'm happy with the JS2 so far. It takes the standard USB cable from my MP3 player, my spare generic penstyle attys and my e-cigar batteries :)

I still prefer the e-cigar for home use, but the JS is more sturdy and great for travel and gives a nice hit. But I second the advice about tightening the atty as some of my penstyles make poor contact until they are screwed in good ;)
