Yet another Big tobacco company has decided to get into the U.S. cig-a-like game.

In checking the map on Logic's site, it seems that most of the retail outlets in my area (central Kentucky) are Rite Aid pharmacies. I didn't notice any that weren't Rite Aid. I don't know how up to date that map may be.

In looking into JT, their International division was forked off from RJR.

JT International (JTI), acquired in 1999 from R.J. Reynolds, is an operating division of Japan Tobacco Inc., handling the international production, marketing and sales of the group's cigarette brands. It sells Camel, Salem and Winston brands outside the USA.

Japan Tobacco also operates in foods, pharmaceuticals, agribusiness, engineering, and real estate. It will leave the beverage industry in September 2015.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if information had funneled through the pipeline as it is not supposed to do in a perfect world. JT also deals in pharma so there is one more lobbying notch in the "we know better" belt.

What did surprise me was that JT is planning on doing so with loan facilities as the article stated.

Actually a few shops not on their map sell Logic kits near me. Mostly convenience stores.
