Someone I trust recommended this and I will be trying it next. I think it is a very reasonable price. Good luck to you.

Just got my hands on Koh Gen Do. The only other cotton I've ever used was organic cotton balls from the pharmacy....

Night and day difference when wrapping a new coil. No taste what so ever.

Pretty fantastic isn't it? It made the biggest difference in my vaping experience. Before that learning to microcoil made the biggest difference.

Now I can't wait to try subohming.

The cotton Labo organic puffs are what I use, best cotton I've found and I've tried "many" different types/brands including Rayon cellucotton. Japanese cotton (regardless of brand), wicks extremely well, provides outstanding flavor and is easy to use. Just be sure what you get is "organic", you don't want bleach, pesticide or other chemical residue in your juice.

I'm using some Koga Japanese cotton that comes in sheets. It's all very clean and highly combed so that all the fibers are parallel, and it wicks nicely, I've been vaping on the same wick for a week without a change and it's still clean and tasty.

There's a definite difference in organic cotton balls and combed sheets. With the organic cotton balls I've sometimes have to go through a cotton ball to find a section of clean cotton with no voids. With the sheets of Japanese cotton, it's all good.

I have some Koga that I got when I couldn't get KGD and it was just as good a vape as KGD but the pads were so much thinner. As soon as I could get KGD again, I did and I only periodically use the Koga, just to use it up.

I'm thinking about trying some actual cotton from the field. They grow cotton all around the ranch I manage and I grabbed a Walmart sack full the last time there was a harvest. One of these days I'm going to give it a try. Anyone ever try it? Surely there are some other rednecks here on ECF

The trouble with using field picked cotton is that it is grown and treated as a non-edible crop, potent herbicides, pesticides and other chemicals are likely present. Boiling may help reduce the chemical contaminants but using organically grown cotton would be even better. Organic field cotton would likely work extremely well if you could get/keep the individual fibers all running in the same direction.

I'm using Shiseido at the moment. It had a pretty strong cotton taste for me out of the bag, so I had to boil it. Now it's great. I peel off the topmost and bottommost layers of each pad, cut around the edges, and use what's left.

I did just receive the Koh Gen Do that I backordered from Nordstrom last month, so I'll be interested to see how that performs. Hopefully it won't require boiling, too.

Coincidentally, fasttech listed three types of japanese organic cotton in new arrivals just today
One called OEM which i think might be the KGD, one called "puff" no idea who that is, and finally the muji stuff.
Kind of high priced considering its only for five pads each, but the shipping is free and one could compare the differences without buying three large boxes.

But then again and here in the usa, I recently bought two of these unknown brand name 4 packs of japanese organic cotton pads to try out for 1.95 each plus 2.82 shipping since I was ordering some rda screws from kidney puncher. They were out of stock of course on the kgd pads so I bought these others.. no idea what mfr name but the stuff works very well for getting the right wick to coil fit compared to the frustration of using cvs rolled cotton.

unknown brand ???

Koh Gen Do Japanese Organic Cotton - Kidney Puncher

Anyway, if you can stand to wait a couple weeks for mail from china...
