I think many more sports bars & resturants are gaining the knowledge that vaping should not be a problem inside and would support it. But one place I occassionally go to used the same point in not wanting people to vape inside. They didn't want to have to explain to the smokers why they can't smoke inside while allowing vaping or to explain to the uninformed non-smokers the differences between vaping and smoking.

It sucks, but I do understand the owners point of view in that they don't want to be in the middle of it. But the smokers in your example are just being azzhats.

Not trying to sound like a jerk, but the bar owner should be able to set whatever rules he/she wants. A smart owner will set rules to minimize pissing off customers so they keep coming back. Every business is there to make someone a living. I don't go to places where I can't stand the rules (unless I have to, like the DMV).

a couple of thoughts...

Someone should tell those idiots to quit crying about what someone else is doing and worry about what they're doing
What's worse than a group of whining so-called adults? A group of drunk and whining so-called adults
You expected rational behavior at a bar?

I did a lot of baby-sitting when I bartended. That's really what kept me motivated to graduate from college.

I liken certain members of the smoking crowd to certain members of the motorcycle community.
It's about being a rebel, individual choice, going against the norm, freedom, yet they all ride the same kind of
motorbikes, dress the same, have like values, go to the same hangouts etc. and anyone that chooses to do things differently from them is looked down upon, ridiculed and not given the time of day.

In each of these crowds there are a few like this, most are very understanding and simply great individuals.
Not everyone that smokes or dresses up like a pirate on halloween is an a$$hat like me.lol.

Just ignore us!:vapor::vapor:

I've had that happen, it's understandable as I don't want to cause the bar any grief or cause them to lose business by acting like an e-cig snob lol. You also get the other smokers that don't mind it, like when I'm outside and they see me using that and basically say I should be allowed to use it inside because they aren't sore smokers.

Envy is ugly isn't it? The argument can easily be made but I'm not sure if there's a point in doing so.

Vaping indoors isn't against the law but smoking indoors is. There has been no evidence to support the belief that second hand vape is harmful.Its smell is inoffensive if inoffensive can be defined as something unknown bed poorly on smell from more than three feet away.

The reason why he's prevented their use from within the bar is because he's sick of hearing complaints. You would had to prevent complaints to change his conclusion.
