edit: I'll let Kat speak to the whole ECITA Canada issue...
At this point it would be very premature to speak out on any initiative that is in the works or going forward or being considered or even not being considered. I KNOW how frustrating that can be - especially on this forum - which has been so active and so pro-active and so involved.
There are definitely things going on in the background. In spite of one person's frustration (and that's legit) - there are steps forward. But these things take time. Without that time - they won't be done correctly. If they're not done correctly - they won't hit the target or accomplish the goals.
The crux of the matter is that E-cigs have a credibility problem. Hardware and liquids. Here "Switched" hit the issue right in it's little heart.
It helps though that vapers are not some fringe element group - they are people from every walk of life - ever sector of society - people in government, law enforcement, medicine and professionals, tradesmen, college students, university professors, armed forces, bus drivers, truck drivers, retirees, people looking for work, job-nics - everyone.
..and when these people stand up, sign petitions, write MP's, talk about the issue - that's when the credibility problem starts to dissolve.
Yes - it will take time - but we all got that one covered!
