I was working on my hair and turned on the tv for background and I'm glad I did! On TBN, 'Jesus of Nazareth' is playing. It's not the full 8 hours, however, it goes until 3:30 a.m. and started at 9p.m. I definitely recommend this movie as this is the best depictition of Jesus' ministry I've ever seen. The actor definitely captured the human/God. It's not spot on, but it's the closest I've seen. The wise men just came to worship Jesus. So you know the story up to that point. If you get a chance, record it and watch it tomorrow or whenever. If you don't like it, it's not going to hurt my feelings....I promise.:)

I've pretty much watched most of this movie and granted some Scripture were not in the correct place, however, I remember watching this first as an unsaved person. It tore me up. But it was still years before I became a born again....like six years? It is still my favorite on the story of Jesus and His ministry. It could be because it was an Italian production with many well known stars in it. It could be that even though Hollywood stars were in it, the final say was from the director. Some of the movie was cut out, like when Jesus told Judas to go and do what he had to do and also identifying him as the traitor to John. They also cut out the part when Jesus rode a donkey into Jerusalem and everyone was laying palm leaves down in front of him. Also, when Peter cut the ear off of the guard. That was done, I think, by TBN? I really don't know. I loved the part when Jesus was talking with the children. That part just warms my heart. The Passion of the Christ is the best and my favorite on the last 24 hrs. before His death, minus a few parts that I disagree with. No movies are perfect, and what a shame.
