Hi guys,
Just opened up the NEW formula Johnson Creek arctic menthol in PG 11mg.
Packaging A+
Presentation A+
Vapor - Make a good cloud of vapor A
Taste - This is not menthol, and has an after taste of bacon fat.. Seriously, smells like maple bacon in the bottle, filled up a cart, did some vaping and every hit tasted like bacon. There is almost no menthol to it at all.

I am sending it back..

Now I can't get the taste out of my atty. Horrible tasting juice..

I also tried the Johnson's Artic Mint that came in my sample pack that I ordered from them. Nice amount of vapor, but not even close to what menthol should taste like. Absolutely horrible. I imagine it to be like, inhaling the contents of a dry ice bag.

It's actually called Artic Menthol, not Artic Mint.

I was about to say that Mint and Menthol are 2 totally different flavors but I saw the problem here.

That''s alright, there wasn't any menthol, or mint, in it, so they were both wrong lol..
The customer service is A+ though, I got an email within a few hours and return labels are on there way for a return, and refund at no cost to me at all.
Very friendly people over there, and they assured me, they don't use bacon fat or bacon products in the juice lol..
They might be using some sort of smoke flavor, or something, that is supposed to taste like smoke, but hits me like bacon, I could see a smoke flavoring doing that, hard to say I'm just guessing at this point what it could be that gave me that sort of reaction, and I just don't really know.

I hate to be so hard on this particular product, because the customer service is friendly, professional, ad top notch, and the packaging, and everything else was superb.
Looks like for now I'm still sticking with the Njoy prefilled carts, expensive, but they taste good. But my 510's sit here, not being used.
The hunt for a source of reliable menthol continues....

I liked the original Arctic Mint, it taste like mint as it should. Bummer about the Arctic Menthol being nasty. Hard to understand why JC would change something that is good and ruin it in the process.

I do believe they are changing their old formula to be able to go along with the FDA guidelines ( no real tobacco in their products)... Which may be a good thing...At least we'll always have eliquid if push comes to shove..
I would think boosting up the menthol/mint would be easy enough considering that requires no tobacco extracts...
This is their first run with the new liquids...Hopefully they will take into consideration all the customer feedback = Tone down the bacon fat flavor/boost the menthol lol

I love cigtechs menthol. I ordered the 14mg and man is it nice! I too have tried the JC and was less than impressed.

The cigtechs menthol has a strong mint taste to it and leaves no funky aftertaste behind.

I am a noob so I have yet to try different brands and there may be a better menthol out there, but so far after trying cigtechs menthol, I don't feel the need to search anymore.

Man, let me know if you bottle has that kind of after taste and smell would ya? I just want to make sure it's not just me.

Whew, decided I had to try this for myself, and my bottle doesn't smell or taste like bacon fat. The last time I smoked a menthol was when I jacked one of my dad's when I was like 15, so I can't comment on if it hits that mark or not.

While I'm glad I have a usable bottle of juice here, I have to admit I was almost strangely disappointed not to get to try vapin' bacon, lol.

On a serious note, i've been buying all my liquids from Jason over at electronicstix.com, and haven't been disappointed so far. Super fast shipping, good amount of vapor, and a nice throat hit. 24mg was too high, so I ordered the 18mg this time around, and it hit the spot. He also carries a menthol, maybe you should give him a try.

i just had this show up today, in my opinion it doesn't taste bad and i actually like it but its as far from menthol as it gets...

E uuuuu...JC Arctic Mint 24mg PG April 27, 2009.

My worst juice...Dont think I can finish...Lost almost all power...taste like nothing good.

My other JC April 27, 2009 flavor held up better.

I have the JC arctic Mint and it is not good at all. I tried it on all my E-Cigs with the same results. Not much vaper and not much flavor either. And this is with cleaned out atomizers and fresh carts. I don't know what it is with JC flavor's.

Im extremely dissapointed with the JC juice i received yesterday, I ordered de Arctic Mint, the Tennesse Cured and Vanilla...tried the TC and the arctic, OMG this this juices are NASTY!!!!! The TC is a mix of Bacon with Nuts and a bunch of sugar, disgusting and ruined my atty, not functionaly but i just cant take that nasty taste away. The arctic ruined another atty, being a mix of bacon, nuts, sugar and peppermint. This flavors are impossible to take away by blowing the atty, i left my two attys this morning resting in vodka, I hope this will help...
Im afraid of trying the vanilla flavor, it smells very similar to the TC and i will puke if I have one more drag of that thing.

I'm with Hangtime and Overlord; that juice obviously is mislabled or defective ... *but* if it really does taste like maple bacon, I want some! [For cholesterol control reasons, I'm muddling along with turkey bacon and eggbeaters for breakfast. Better than nothing, I suppose.]
