Johnson Creek arctic mint

Yeah, I just got done sending their sample pack back. It was all nasty. And I loved Jc original and cured. My atty still taste like crap after a week.

Yeah I hear you I just put my atomizer in some coca cola right now then dry it to get that nasty bacon taste off my atomizer. Then I will use a different juice and fresh cart. I would contact them and say something to them about the juice because there is something really wrong with the way it tastes.

Sofar I have had good luck with JC. Good customer service, good product (no bacon flavored juice), and most importantly for me, a juice made in the U.S. I'm a little paranoid of purchasing a juice from China after several hundred dogs died a couple of years ago from their dog food. Makes me wonder what type of quality control they are using.

I'm doing pretty well with JC reduced-PG juices (though I wish they'd finish their frickin' VG recipes already, or at least give an ETA). The five flavors I have are all more similar to one another than I'd like, except the Black Cherry which is very different and quite good as an occasional sweet treat. It took a while to grow on me, but I really like the JC Original now, and the Tennesee Cured is a close second-- nice as a change-up, adds some buttery-vanilla-y notes. The Chocolate Truffle is yummy on a French inhale, and I'm not crazy about the Espresso but sometimes I quite like it in small doses. They do all have a mild aftertaste, but for me it's just the standard PG aftertaste, same flavor as the smell of a stage fog machine.

Considering getting the Summer Peach. Sounds like I should stay away from Arctic Menthol, though. Suits me, I was never big on menthol/mint.

And I had already been wondering how to make a bacon e-liquid. I was considering steeping a handful of Bac-Os in VG, or somehow using Baconsalt. If someone came up with a VG bacon liquid that was safe to vape, I'd probably buy a gallon or two. :D

As a long time analog user, 37 years, I think the Arctic Menthol tastes a lot like menthol cigs used to, before they all started tasting like candy. i.e. Salems from 20 years ago. I think tobacco companies went from curing tobacco with menthol to adding menthol flavor to a standard cure, or maybe to the filter. I do like the juice, I was not happy with the candy flavored Salems.
I hadn't tried many of the non-cigarette flavors, but finally cracked the Black Cherry and was very pleasantly surprised. I have not noticed any bacon or fat flavor tones in any of the JC juices, but my taste buds may be kind of shot from 37 years of analogs...

Just got the sample pack of JC. I was actually kinda like'n them, They all seem to have to same basic flavor though (the original one I guess?) with touches of the other flavor. Def wont be an all day vape but I might get a bottle of the vanilla.

Its def a different kinda flavor I wouldn't say bacon or fat though, personally I think they all kinda taste like pipe tobacco flavorings and I bet if you like pipe tobacco you would like these.

If you dont like the basic flavor they use you wont like ANY of the other flavors.

Agreed, the basic flavor is there for almost every one that I've tried-- sort of smoky and nutty notes. (I'm not getting the "bacon" thing either, but maybe the smoky aspect reminds people of hickory-smoked bacon?) The exceptions for me are the Black Cherry and the Summer Peach, which seem pretty much straight-on fruity. I could definitely see someone loving the Summer Peach even if he/she didn't like the base JC flavor.

I think my favorites are the JC Original, which for me is probably my go-to vape, and the Summer Peach, which is a very refreshing change-up.

Yeah your right, just tried summer peach again in a fully washed atty/cart. Not really get'n any of the JC taste, when I was trying them before i was just doing a quick rinse ( I thought they all tasted JC'ish anyway by the time I got to peach ). Peach is good, its still difren't than other "standard" perfumey flavors though, IMO pretty good.

I'm washin an dryin agin to try cherry....

mm alitle JC..so called "bacon/smokey" taste.. but more cherry. I'd say Black Cherry is def a good name for it. Not like cherry candy at all, but def cherry its weird

... again for arctic menthol (it is what the thread is about)..

menthol i dunno, tastes like somekindaother-mint to me. A yummy-warm-mint. Not like current menthol cigs at all, maybe older ones like said previously, but i haven't been alive that long. Yeah def a smokey-mint taste, I kinda like it though and I don't really like menthol cigs or juices. (my GF, who smokes menthol, does like it though and she doesn't vape yet - i'm workin on that :))

But thats enough boiling/tasting for me tonite (more tommorow ), going back to TW camel for my last "smoke". I do recomend the JC sample pack now however, especally if your looking for something allitle different. Just wash well in between flavors, there not as close to the same flavor as you think at first (lots of deeper flavor in there)

And if you haven't already get some damn pyramid tea bags and shread them thin bc it makes vapin 2x as good

Hello,

Forgive me if I jump into this thread instead of making a new one... I'm new to e-cigs and I have only used JC so far, I have 2 bottles of chocolate PG 24mg, I think they are good, but 24mg seems to be too much...

The think is that the liquid is kind of thin, and it leaks, I always end up with my hands a bit sticky, I heard that adding some VG to it does a good job, but does that reduces the flavor? (a lot?)

And, is this normal: I fill a cart, the first 2 or 3 puffs gave me a super strong hit but no vapor, then the hit and flavor starts to fade away, but the vapor kicks in... is this normal?

What JC's have the best hit? I'm thinking on trying the artic mint, since I supposed mint should give some hit... or a constant hit... is this true?

I got the 18mg sample pack in PG, and recomend it to try all of there flavors. I think they kind if all hit the same just with diferent taste.

I have also noticed the vapor thing with JC, if I puff without inhaling I get lots of vapor, but once I inhale/exhale there isn't very much. (not nessasarally a bad thing, good for when you don't want to be noticed)

You can try the pyramid tea bag mod to even out hits, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/30017-video-lipton-pyramid-tea-bag-mod.html I use it in all of my carts and will never go back to the normal stuff

Oops,
That''s alright, there wasn't any menthol, or mint, in it, so they were both wrong lol..
The customer service is A+ though, I got an email within a few hours and return labels are on there way for a return, and refund at no cost to me at all.
Very friendly people over there, and they assured me, they don't use bacon fat or bacon products in the juice lol..
They might be using some sort of smoke flavor, or something, that is supposed to taste like smoke, but hits me like bacon, I could see a smoke flavoring doing that, hard to say I'm just guessing at this point what it could be that gave me that sort of reaction, and I just don't really know.

I hate to be so hard on this particular product, because the customer service is friendly, professional, ad top notch, and the packaging, and everything else was superb.
Looks like for now I'm still sticking with the Njoy prefilled carts, expensive, but they taste good. But my 510's sit here, not being used.
The hunt for a source of reliable menthol continues....

Have you tried ordering menthol crystals. You can add them to your favorite juices to make menthol juices. I just got a 50g bottle from ecigexpress for like ten bucks and it is huge. Works great too, just don't add to much or you will be vaping vicks!

used in the prodigy, i tried all the flavors from the sampler pack and all i can taste pretty much is the nutty flavor. they all taste the same! grrr.

for those of you trying to get the JC flavor out, try using isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. the higher alcohol content definitely washes everything clean. i let attys sit in it overnight, then wash out with distilled water (keeps the minerals from depositing on the coil).

That actually doesn't surprise me much, since the Prodigy is really high-voltage, yeah? The difference in flavor between even a blu and a 510 is pretty astounding to me-- flavors that taste lovely in the blu all taste blanched-out and a little scorched in the 510, so I would guess that the effect is even more pronounced in the Prodigy?

Just guessing, though, haven't tried a Prodigy. Yet. :D

Meanwhile, I've tried a lot of the current JC flavors, and if you can't tell the difference between the Summer Peach, the Black Cherry, and the JC Original, that sounds like a problem. Those three are pretty wildly different from one another. In fact, I'm not sure there's any of the "base" JC flavor in the Summer Peach and Black Cherry at all.

    Somewhere between here and there
I have tried the sampler pack and reordered some original and tennesse cured. The viscosity(sorry if I spelled it wrong) seems too thin. If I add a little vg to either one then it vapes great. I have contacted JC and am working on an exchange. You might want to do the same.

yep, i have a 510 prodigy. it amplifies some flavors, and deadens others. it isnt usually detrimental. in this case, though 5v and jc flavors arent mutually compatible.
