Johnson Creek double - speak?

Got my 510 recently, ordered some JC shortly after.

juice tastes great, awesome packaging, etc. Got some business cards along with the juice, they had a phone number on them.

Now, I've been wondering if JC's ingredients are actually PRODUCED here, or if they are merely FINISHED (mixed) here.

I called the number, and the lady said she had to check with a higher up to answer the question. The answer I got (and she was unwilling to expand any further) was that all their ingredients are "sourced through" the US.

She seemed to get a bit irritated that I wanted to know if the ingredients were PRODUCED here or not, and kept telling me she couldn't give out their suppliers. I kept telling her I didn't want to know their suppliers, but simply to know if the ingredients were produced domestically or not. Never got a real answer.

I'm a dog owner, so the Chinese made dog food thing has me wondering/concerned.

This is a small world, and seems closely knit, so I figure this will make its way to someone one in the know/associated with Johnson's creek.

Aint the internet grand?

Anyone know the answer?

I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but if JC/VT Vapors, etc are merely reprocessing/repackaging Chinese juice, why pay the premium? TBH, if that is the case I will probably just take my chances and self-produce using American Spirit maroon loose.

Well, I don't know about JC, but Ecopure folks say that all their ingredients are made in UK (I think)... It's good juice, too, normally. Though I just got a bad batch from them - I'm sending it back. Hope the replacement is good.

JC never tasted that good to me, and I'm paranoid about their bottles - nice looking an'all but too easy to spill. I got a dog, and I'm extra careful about spillage. She'll lick it up before I can so much as blink if I spill it on the floor... At that point the heck with ingredients, it's the nic content that's dangerous.

Heidie from JC called me back, we spoke for a moment. She stated catagorically that all of JCs ingredients are sourced from domestic producers, and that the majority are produced in house. Was friendly and emphatic.

Take it FWIW, but it was nice to hear it stated straight-up.

KonaNeil --- Should preface this by saying that 1) I have only tried VT Vapor Tobacco, Cigtechs Vanilla, RY4 and Tobacco, and JC Original and Tennessee Cured.

The JC Flavors are more subtle, and more "organic" (I don't mean organic in the organically grown sense, but rather in the herbal, natural tasting sense).

It seems to me that many people here want a burst of strong easily identified flavor. The JCs are much more subtle and multilayered to my palate. With the Tenn Cured I get notes of hickory smoke (something I'm well aquianted with) leather, tobacco, vanilla and hazelnut. None of those notes are overpowering, and all of them are relatively subtle sort of, palate-wise, surrounded by an aura of the hickory smoke.

Most people want a burst of peach or a burst of cola or a burst of whatever, and be done with it. I'm a scotch and bourbon drinker, and I like full flavored cigars, and the JC flavors agree much better with my palate than the candy tasting stuff from Cigtechs, which from reading here I have reason to believe are pretty indicative of the normal flavor profile of most juice.

Also, JC juices are much thinner, which makes them more tempermental to work with. That said, I get GREAT vapor with them.

I'm getting very little to no vapor from all three. Am I suppose to add the glycerine(sorry, I forget what it is called) to the sample flavors? I'm getting a faint hint of a flavor, but so far none are even close to being enjoyable. The juices I've tried are Artic Menthol, French Vanilla & Summer Peach. I know it's not my atty nor battery because I've changed back to cartridges topped off with my juices from NHaler and get a fair amount of vapor. So I'm either doing something terrible wrong with these JC juices, otherwise totally unimpressed & dissatisfied with them. Any suggestions or thoughts on what I might try to get these juices to create a vapor with at least an acceptable taste?
TIA for any help.

I have experienced this as well with JC liquids. I gave them a low on vapor in all of my reviews.

Not sure why you aren't getting good vapor from the JC juice. I first dripped the atomizer with JC and of course, got great vapor. I then cleaned, dried and refilled a cart with JC and after a few pulls, I get consistent, HEAVY vapor with each pull. It could be because I Primed the atty by dripping, not sure.

Ok, tried 3 more JC juices...Simply Strawberry, Black Cherry & Chocolate. Fresh battery, clean & dry atty and filled cartridges. Dripped. Simply Strawberry was next to nothing. First couple of draws gave the very lightest of vapor, then nothing. Taste was not even close to a strawberry flavor. Actually not much of any taste. Black Cherry, somewhat better vapor, maybe a 3 on a scale of 5. Taste..harsh! Burned my throat. Reminded me a bit like a pipe tobacco in harshness & taste. A hint of cherry, but if I had not know it was cherry not sure that I could have called it. Chocolate, same as the Black Cherry. Maybe a 3 on the vapor, but just too harsh. And once again more of just a general pipe tobacco taste, no chocolate taste at all.
I'm glad others are having a good experience with JC juices, but they are so not for me. I can see where this can become quite expensive and time consuming in the beginning. Three 510 beginner kits & a pcc via 2 companies, juices via 2 other companies just to find 4 flavors that vaped & tasted nice, etc. And time consumed charging batteries, cleaning & filling carts, cleaning & drying attys at night. I absolutely love vaping, but sheesh. I can only hope down the road everything will fall into place & I start saving instead of spending. On the up side I've smoked less than a pack of analogs in 8 days where prior to that I was a 2-3pack@day smoker. Yay! Hubby is so impressed that....wait for it....he now wants a DSE pipe! LOL! Oh no, now I have to go through all this "beginning" stuff again. Anyone want to help me out and suggest the best place to begin for the DSEpipe? Goodprohets? Litecigsusa? Ruyundirect is sooo expensive & I'm not sure but I think they are in China. TIA for any & all help.

I like JC as well, but as said the vapor production is not too great (in the PG only form). I added a few drops of VG to my sampler bottles, and it cleared up any problems I had.

The only problem I have with JC, is that if I vape it exclusively it loses flavor quickly. Not to say that it does not have a great taste to it, because it tastes fantastic. It just does not hold up very well as a liquid I can use all day. For me, JC is something I load up in my cart while sitting back and relaxing to a movie. The rest of the day is filled with Ry4.

That said, everyone is going to have differing results. More than likely, my taste buds are not too great and I need something that has a very strong taste to it for me to experience the flavor all day.

I personally like the JC reduced pg med nic product, I've been vaping for about a month now and just quite the old cigs two days ago. I find if I keep them topped off The vapor is plentiful. I like the combo of original and peach. It is Subtle though

I agree that the JC flavors don't really seem like all-day flavors to me, but I just keep changing throughout the day and it seems to work out great. (I keep JC Original, Tennesee Cured [two of those because I like it the best], Chocolate Truffle, Espresso, and Black Cherry carts in my PCC and switch between them as my whimsy takes me.) I find that I get really nice vapor with them, too, but I'm using the reduced-PG blend, which has some VG in it as well, so that probably helps.

Wish they'd finish making their new VG-only formula, because I do seem to have a mild PG sensitivity and have to take it easy even with the reduced-PG blend.

BTW, just for giggles, I added a drop of Black Cherry to my half-empty Chocolate Truffle cart, and it's niiiiiice.

Poor reviews? I've seen so much positive about JC around these forums, particularly about the flavor... and I just got my sample pack yesterday, and LOVE, I mean *LOVE* the French Vanilla... very nice, not too sweet, but not too harsh... loving it. Vapor is OK, not as good as I got with the EcoPure, but it was the PG, not the PG/VG mix. I'll have to try some of their "reduced PG" (PG/VG) to see how I like it... worried it will change the taste too much though. In any case, I found the Tenn Cured to be WAY too strong for my palette... I have very discerning taste buds to the point where I can distinguish between artificial sweeteners, not just "oh that's diet", etc., so for me, a milder JC (other than the Vanilla, which rocks) would be more suitable... that being said, I'm very impressed with the company (great customer service after a debacle with UPS delivering to the wrong house... hope those folks that got it, don't think it's something to DRINK, sheesh!) Have to say, I'm impressed with JC, and can't imagine why anyone would give them bad reviews...?
