I want to go ahead and say thanks to the ECF community. I have been lurking"researching" in the shadows for a couple weeks now. This is my first post so bare with me.

I ordered a 5 bottle sample kit from Johnson creek smoke juice. This is my first time buying liquid online. Been getting some amazing juice from a B&M store in Charlotte, NC. My kit Arrived ahead of time which seemed promising. Open the package and i am greeted by an awesome branded tin. Once again excited because I love tins/freebies!!! So far everything seems so great. I had a few cartos to waist so i filled each one with a different sample flavor. FIrst thing i notice is how watery the juice is. Think nothing of it and begin to vape. Out of 5 cartos only 2 even produced vapor. This was the J.C. original and the Tennessee cured. Both tasted like .... nothing. First things first i decide to "research" on the forums only to find that im not the only one with this problem. I will never buy this juice again. I could go through the hassle of emailing them, retuning the product and getting my money back, but I feel they have known about this problem and if they wanted to they would have fixed it. (Iv seen post about this dating back to 2009.) 4 years later and this problem is still occurring. Jc does not deserve my thoughts. I felt that the E-cig community does deserve it though. Once again sorry I am new to posting here, and not a very good writer :p

P.S. I was a big menthol smoker before vaping. I am in love with the menthol tobacco revolution vapor makes, but like most on this forum i am constantly in search for the perfect cape. Let me know some of your favorite menthol juices!!!

I mailed my juices back to get the refund. They also cover return shipping. Or, you can get verified and try to trade them on the classified ads.

That's very odd. JC tobacco flavor juices have a strongly sweet, spicey with hint of tobacco type flavor. They are not subtle flavors. They are very low viscosity but they usually wick exceptionally well. I like the sweet spiciness once in a while.

Are you saying that what you got in the bottles wasn't what you ordered or that your cartos didn't perform well with these juices? You might need to up the voltage a bit.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with Johnson Creek. Personally that's all that I use. I can't do 100 pg so I only vape their 100% VG Red Oak line and everything out of that has been good to great for me. I've tried all kinds of different juice vendors but I just couldn't get the satisfaction that I do with JC. I regularly use the Red Oak Tennessee Cured, Marcado and Vanda and usually get a small 15ml bottle of something different every month to switch it up.
They're out of their offices for the holiday but will be there this Friday. I'm sure if you contact the CS they'll be more than amicable to give you a refund. Their CS is really good. Good luck on your search! :toast:

I did mostly 100% vg liquids they make. I have no trouble with the cartos. That's mostly what I use when out and about and have never had a problem! I tried a lot of the juices though like I said first in a carto then in a vivi nova and could not get any vape. I cranked to voltage up to 4.8 which is about 1 volt higher then usual. I did my research looked back on old threads and it just seems to be a quality control thing. Some love it some have horrible experiences. The flavor I get tasted good but with no vapor production... I understand that things happen and companies make mistakes. I also know that many of people on ecf have returned there jc products with this problem dating back to 09. 4 years later and I run Ito same problem... Unacceptable. They clearly know this problem exist and clearly they didn't do a whole lot to fix it...

I had the same experience with Johnson Creek four years ago when I was getting started. Four of the five flavors were terrible and the other one was barely OK. Never ordered from them again.

Find someone who sells juices in very small bottles so you don't have to spend a fortune trying endless flavors that you don't like.

Or, go into DYI like I have, where the juice and flavors are much cheaper.

I have been vaping using my VEA for 3 weeks now. I was the very occasional smoker of a menthol or a clove cigarette so I was just looking for great flavor- no nicotine. At first- with the first fill of the JC cartomizers- everything was great. But even on careful refilling- the cartomizers leak and the flavors taste like crap. Unlike you, when I researched, it seemed like everything I read was praising JC and saying that the JC smoke juices were great and that JC was touted as the industry standard and the best out there. I have to say, their Tundra menthol is actually one of their better ones. But so far, I have not been impressed.

If you love menthol I highly suggest Vermillion River vendor ;)

I LOVE vermillion rivers ejuice!

They are all tasty, I gone through several different samples from them and one large bottle of Cinnamon Roll I believe its called.
They have such high quality that even their samples come in glass dropper bottles! Unnecessary? Perhaps, but that's the standard they go by and I love it- Not to mention excellent customer service and GREAT prices.

It's all a matter of personal taste.

I still get their (Red Oak) VG; Merango (Strawberry), Espresso (always on the lookout for a good/better coffee and have tried more than a few), & Vanda (vanilla custard).

For me, they've been consistent. My wife has tired of their Wisconsin Frost (menthol-ish) and is now running through Mister E's Menthol (which she prefers). The search for a "good menthol" is a common quest for those who like that flavor and most folks have tried a lot of different liquids.

The fact that they accepted a return is a good sign of positive customer service IMO. I don't consider them to be a "bad vendor", but I also don't consider them to be as "boutique-ish" as some of the other e-liquid vendors who make smaller batches and are willing to try/make/offer a wider variety of flavors and alter as their customers request or offer feedback.

Sorry to hear that you didn't like/prefer their sampler, but at least you weren't stuck with 30ml of something that you hate.
