If you check my thread out here, I gave a short review on a new batch that I got in a sample pack just last week: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...tobacco-liquid-johnson-creek-sample-pack.html

I had said:

Also, I got a sample pack of liquid from Johnson Creek on Saturday, and so far no atomizer problems and there are some really good tastes! They produce plenty of vapor so it looks like so far, their liquid is okay to use and seems fine again.
The only thing is, the flavors Smooth Hickory, Tobacco, and Tennessee Cured smell just disgusting. They smell mostly like rubber mixed with like..the smell of campfire cooking smoke? Haven't tried 'em yet but if an e-liquid smells bad then it'll probably taste bad. Like Dustin (or Leaford?) said in a review video, they smell (and taste according to him) like the kind of smoking you do with meat! Not cigarette smoking but just like chimney smoke! Blehh..
Can I get a amen!

For me, the jury is still out on the JC RE atomizers health. I got it a little over a week ago (peach cobbler and sweet strawberry). I started by putting each taste in two separate atomizers. One was congenitally weak, the other was fine when I started -then I mixed the two flavors on the same day, in different proportions. The weak atomizer died in less than 2 days - and when I say died, I mean it REALLY died -not the faintest pulse of vapor was detectable.

The other one seemed to become weaker, and now requires quite a lot of cheek athletics to get anything out of it, whatever juice I use it with.

I tried cleaning both of them, but I did not detect any improvement. I still cannot be sure that the dead atomizer would not have died anyway, and the other atomizer may just have been on its way out....

As for taste, I really liked the peach cobbler, while the strawberry was very weak (which is why I started mixing the two). Had I not read the word "strawberry" on the bottle, I would not have had a clue what the flavor was supposed to be (sort of vaguely sweet, not unpleasant, but so mild as to be ghostly). A pity, because I liked the feeling of comfort derived by the fact that these bottles came with a nice plastic seal over the cap (not that I know what is in there, either).... Oh, well. I am not sure what to do with the juice now.... I might just finish off the dying atomizer, so that it would at least die a yummy death with the peach cobbler.

I'm not impressed with JC sending out sample packs without testing and won't bother with their juice again.

I still have my old stuff, and after filtering and mixing with 1/3 glycerine, it smokes OK in my minis, but it turns the filling in the penstyles dark really fast, which makes me think there is some carameliation going on. Anybody notice a burnt taste early on, or a darkening of their cart fillings after just a few puffs?

Damn. I'm surprised and dissapointed to hear others are still having problems with it. For the record, the two e-cigs I used for the test are still working, and still using JCSJ, although I've only taken an occasional comparison puff on either of them. I haven't used the rest of the sample I was sent, just because I am enjoying Janty's Red Cow, not because I don't like or trust it.

4 month ago I tried JC and had difficulties with clogged up atomizers. After the new improved Juice was available 4 weeks ago, I ordered one of the new sample packs (PG Low). All flavors in the sample pack were clear, no oil or other stuff in the liquid anymore. I smoked almost all samples away in 2 weeks and had not any issues on a pen style and on a DS901. I noticed that the vapor volume was less dense compared to before. I ordered my favorites in big bottles, Tennessee Cured and Peach Cobbler and smoke both since a week all day long. Great taste, atomizer are doing ok! I am happy with it! I would call that a major improvement!

I ordered October 24th from E-SmokeyTreats. Got 2 of the sampler packs (one for me, one for my hubby). After less than a week of use with no flavor mixing, both of us are now out an atomizer for our DSE901. This was our first foray into e-smoking, so we didn't know much at all about them. After bothering to educate ourselves by reading this forum, we discovered threads like this. If you hold the bottles up to a light, you can see a HUGE amount of sediment in them that almost looks like mucous or something. I don't know if these sampler packs were from the new batch or if the site we ordered from was shipping out old product...Just emailed Phil to let him know and am still waiting for a reply.

I was initially put off the new batch of JC, because one of my atomizers died soon after using it, and the other one became really weak. Well, the dead one is still dead, but the weak one improved some after cleaning it. Since then, I used it for one JC flavor (strawberry), occasionally mixing it with Puresmoker's strawberry. I don't use it a lot, but it's still alive after a few weeks. Also, I do not have any sediment in the bottles (at least, not any that I can see). So, I am slowly convincing myself that my one and only atomizer death with JC might have been a coincidence. I have several atomizers and batteries, and I have used them for about 7 weeks, so I seem to be doing well with them. I am, on the other hand, a veritable serial killer of batteries. I wonder whether I have some sort of devastating personal magnetism that interferes with them (but ONLY with them, alas....).

I just took this pick of the Wild Cherry. 8-o This stuff is in every one of the samples we have, 20 bottles worth. Some have more than others.

I bought the sample pack from JC and one interesting thing occurred. Some flavors have small black particles in it. I don't know what is it. In three days using the liquids, I perceived that my pen from Puresmoker diminished so much in vapour production. I cleaned my atomizer with boiled water and now it's like new. I think JC liquid continues ruining atomizers.:(

I'm quite interested in this thread since JC is the only commercial supplier afaik who produce the glycerine variant of the juice ,which I find less irritating.

I doubt it's mould or bacteria in the PG stuff, since the stuff is composed of nicotine and PG. But it would be good if they employed a consultant pharmacist to figure out what's happening.

I was also a little concerned by a post in which JC admitted:
a batch that wasn't complete yet and had only about one tenth the amount of VG it was supposed to have, accidentally got bottled and sent out.
but apparently failed to realize of what this would do to nicotine levels, later saying
Well....I don't know about throwing it out. After all, even bad Johnson Creek is still great e-liquid

Ok, sorry...couldn't resist:D

Kinda off topic, but I just wanted to post this since I did mention that we had gotten this stuff from E-smokeytreats. Phil got back to me very swiftly and is more than willing to make everything right. Just thought he deserved credit for it since it's not like he makes the stuff, it's actually JCs problem. Still, he stands behind what he sells and I still highly recommend the site.
