Hi again, I posted my intro thread last week if anyone remembers or cares. LOL.

I got my V2 in the mail Monday. I started it Monday afternoon, and have not had an analog since that time. Almost 48 whole hours. :)

I have a couple questions if anyone can help me.

1. I was a smoker of light cigs, about 3.5 packs a week. I find myself vaping as follows. About 5-6 puffs every hour or two. A little more often at night when I am drinking, but not much. I do have some symptoms of lightheadedness. Am I taking in too much nicotine?

2. I have read the posts about "how to inhale". I am slowly dragging in and holding, then taking back into lungs, then exhaling. Is this pretty much what everyone does? Do you find you get more nic with the back inhale, or would you get just as much just doing the mouth thing? I would like to eliminate the lung involvement, and wondered if anyone had tested this.

Thank you guys! It feels weird to say it, but I am no longer a cigarette smoker... I hope. :)

I've tried the mouth thing, but I've settled on just drawing into the mouth, then inhaling straight away and exhaling through the nose... I find I get the flavour best when I do that, and I don't have any lingering cravings. I used to smoke 'lights' too and I find 10-18mg is fine, though I plan on getting down to a 12mg average.

If you're feeling light-headed (in a way you don't like), try a lower nicotine level?

Im using the lowest they have (what they call Lights). Is 4-5 times every couple hours average or is that too much? I am trying not to nic poison myself. LOL

The chance of nicotine poisoning is slim to none! The body has a built in resistance to that, you will feel sick and throw up before your body will let that much nic in. The only real danger is skin absorption, or injecting it some way.
Just slow down on your draws and maybe take a break in between them rather than just hitting and hitting it like a cig. Most people want to use these like a regular cig at first. The problem is the absorption rate is a bit slower with vaping, you don't get the instant hit like you do with a cig. It takes a bit longer to get into your system.

This.

Had it happen once. Not to the point of throwing up, but I was seriously working a good flavor (Bananas gone nuts from Mt Baker Vapor) one night and started to feel sick. I listened to my body and slowed down and was just fine.

Any chance that what I am feeling is actually nic withdrawal and not too much??
It's possible that you're withdrawing from a few of the other thousands of chemicals contained in a cig. I started with V2 Congress and Red flavor(Medium) about a month ago. They contain 12mg nicotine as far I as I know.

Normal is a fallacy in vaping! Everything is subjective! I'm still on 35mg juice, when I can get it, and I'll hit mine at least every five min. Sometimes a lot more, sometimes a lot less. I average about 6-10ml of juice a day. Some people use 1ml, some use 20ml. I've read of 3 pack a day smokers being happy with 3ml of 18mg juice, I've heard of 1/2 pack a day smokers that used 10mlof 24mg juice a day! There's no hard and fast rule what will work or why. It's just a matter of finding where it works for you. Sorry I can't be more help than that, but everyone has to find what works for them and go with it.

^^^I agree with sawlight here^^^
When it comes to vaping, there are no hard and fast rules!! Vaping is very preferential and personal.
I think you are OVER THINKING this!! Relax, you'll find your groove and what works for you!!
I won't worry about nic poisoning or overdosing (expecially if your vapin 6mg juice)!!!
Your fresh off the analogs and your body is going throgh a "transiton period", cleaning out all the garbage from years of smoking.
There are over 4000 chemicals in cigarettes in additon to the nicotine, CO, tar and ash. It could take up to a few weeks for your system to clean out the junk.
Right now, be sure your drinking PLENTY of water though.....it will help with "cleansing out the chemicals and keep you hydrated.
Vaping can kind of dry you out a bit.
Enjoy your new vaping journey, and dont obsess on the minor details. Do what comes natural to you!!
Happy Vaping.

First off, Welcome to ECF.

I've been vaping for a couple of months now. I found in the beginning, I would pull hard like I was smoking an analog. You'll find over time you will adjust to vaping. For me I found that I adjusted as I vaped longer naturally, pulling slower and holding it in my mouth then enhaling/exhaling when I was done pulling a drag. The lighthead symptons could be withdraw from the 4000+ carcinogens found in cigarettes. I personally found that I experienced withdraws from the other things found in analogs for the first 3 days and after that it was psychological. The best thing to do is smoke it how you feel works best, you will adjust on your own. Everyone is different, but for most people and from what I've gathered, vapers typically pull for 4-5 seconds filling there mouth up and enhaling once they are done a drag and exhaling through more there noise than mouth for better flavor/taste.

:vapor:Good luck and keep on vaping:vapor:

Funny I came across this as I was just feeling light headed from vaping some banana mixed with Blooberry juice I'd just received this weekend. :). I've been vaping a week so still a noob but I certainly feel myself vaping more than I smoked. I simply dig the taste and so I hit it constantly throughout the day. Probably doesn't help that I have a private office at work and I'm toking on it there as well. I'm at 18mg currently but think I need to drop to 12 or 8 considering how much I like vaping. I've never tried crack but if it tasted like this banana blueberry mix I'd be smoking that rock like a fiend. :D
