Hi. I was browsing the net and came across this site. The thread I found was about the istick pico and weather you need flat batteries for it. I liked what I read so I decided to join. I am currently waiting for my istick pico in the mail. I ordered from fasttech. It is a kit so it is coming with a Melo III tank. I have had istick 50 and 100w before but they didn't last me long maybe 6 months. When my 100w broke I went back to analogs and also tried quitting a few times. My mom visited me for Christmas and suggested I order a istick pico from fastech. She told me it's actually slow tech due to it taking a while coming from China, so I bought a Aspire K3 just to keep me off of the cigs till it gets here. As soon as I got my taxes in I ordered the suggested mod and now I can't wait. I love vaping so much and it's been about 6 months or longer since I had a ecig I really enjoy. I also joined cause not many people I know vape a lot of people seem to think negatively about them. =^.^=

Welcome to ECF. I hope you enjoy your stay. The Pico's a popular mod and should serve you well.

You're not the only one who wound up back on the cigs because your mod died. The general rule around here is you always need a backup - then get backups for your backups. That way you never wind up without a vape because your equipment decided to go south.

It is nice. Once I I get some use out of the Pico I think I might use the K3 for work or on the go. The only things I don't like about the K3 is battery needs to be charged often and I like more vapor then it can produce. Aspire is pretty good I used to use Atlantis 2 and some top loader version with a drip tip that had air intake. I forgot the version it was. This will be my first eleaf tank. Also thank you both for the welcoming.

Welcome @Vape cat and I hope you enjoy your stay!

I have had my Pico Kit for a few months now and it is one nice little MOD with plenty of power and the Melo III Mini has produced some nice clouds with wonderful coil life. But I do not push my coils to the maximum wattage and run them on the lower end of the spectrum. Except for TC tanks then I push them high but the coils still last weeks or months.

When I had istick 100w with a Tfv4 not sure what the low is on that but I wouldn't go higher then 80 and my man said that was pretty much as low as I could go and that was pretty high for me on wattage. I was thinking of trying the Melo III at 30 to start with.

Hi and Welcome-
The Pico kit is a great kit! Are you in the US? Many online shops have the Pico and would have been so much quicker than FT and sometimes even cheaper!
If you are doing vaping to quit cigarettes, you need backups! No way are cigarettes my backup plan!
Watch for the many sales and try to buy then!I only use FT for my stockpile stuff- like coils, throw in a couple of 5 packs every few weeks, whether you need them or not- just in case, same with tanks that use the same coils, like the Tobecco tanks take the same coils as the Melo!
Same with ejuice sales- stock up or learn to DIY
Even my back ups have backups! I have been cig free for over 2 years after cigarettes for 30+ years!
Best of luck to you!

Welcome Vape Cat. I also picked up a Pico Mini and it's a great device. I added a silicone sleeve to mine and find that it makes it more user friendly.
You probably want to get an extra battery and dual external charger so you can switch out your battery easily. Only use name brand batteries from reputable sources. Lot of good info here.

@Vape cat - If you decide you like your Pico and want another one, RockyMountainVapor still has the mod only for just $21 when you use the coupon code turkey at Checkout. Colors available now are Pink, Silver, and White. They do also have the whole kit, if you want another Melo III tank. That code applies to everything on the site, too, not just that Pico.

Eleaf iStick PICO Simple Kit - $30.00 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

RMV is a great smaller company IMO, with great customer service (by email or phone it's quick & with the owner himself), provides fast shipping, and has authentic products. I highly recommend them.

yes I live in Minnesota. FastTech I only ordered through them because I have never ordered e-cigarette supplies before and my mom told me it's where she orders from. I didn't just want to pick some random site and get ripped off. I am open to checking out good recommendations.

I ordered a purple skull silicone case for it as well I thought ahead. I have a external charger and four batteries but I'm not sure if it's a good brand. I'll post brand when I get home cause I'm at work atm on my lunch break.

So the batteries are Casung. Any one ever hear of them? I checked out rocky mountain vapor and it would be good for a back up but I'm glad I went with ft cause I spent the few extra dollars and bought the black and bronze version that has a 4ml tank. I like the look of it a lot and if I like it I will buy back ups. When my istick 100w quit working the metal where the tank screws into it stated to stick out and said no atomizer. I was so sad but I think it's cause it had slipped out of my hand a few times.

Fasttech is my main supplier for ecig stuff, as well as Gearbest. I rebuild my own atomizers, and I have settled on Lightning Vapes for my wire. I also make my own juice, and I get that from My Freedom Smokes. Between those four sites, I'm fine. I have also ordered from other places, and they've been good to me as well.
Mount Baker Vapor I used these guys before I started making my own juice.
VapeNW good for a local source. I check out their sales.

Fasttech is a good company, but like theyv'e said... it does take a while to get to you. any RMA's done means you have to take a picture of the defect to get the RMA approval, then mail it back to them (Via a Florida warehouse) once you get approval. They will give you credit for the mailing, once they recieve the item, they will either credit you back, or ship you back the replacement... the whole process takes months, but that has only happened twice in 4 years of ordering from them.

Well, good luck, and welcome to the forums.

Oh nooooo! It's good you got a skin for it! I won a black/bronze kit. That thing is a scratch magnet. I swear if you have dry skin you could scratch that thing with your fingerprints! On the plus side..... I loved that little mod so much that I bought a second one from Rocky Mountain 2 days later. The 2nd one was a white standard version. They both get used daily, both get the same treatment yet the white one looks like I just took it out of the box while the black/bronze looks like a freaking train wreck. Put that skin on it as fast as you can!
