I got rid of the 1 ohm coil. I though it was burned out and threw it away. I know now that that was wrong, it was flooded. The local retailer only has .5 coils. Waiting for them to get it in stock and hopefully the 1 ohm can cool things down. Stopped smoking for 10 days 12 hours 3 mins and 32 secs. But who's counting. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23].

Not one urge to smoke

Hy Tool and welcome to the forum also. I am considering to buy the ego one mini myself and this is what I've gathered also from discussions about the device in the forum, heat and heat build up on these atomizers. Technically the first thing you can do is to use bigger resistances as it was suggested above. Joyetech only has 0.5 ohm and a 1 ohm heads for this, but they offer a rebuildable head ( CLR ) where you can install your own coil and have basically whatever resistance suits you best but you would need to spend a little time reading in the rebuildables section about the technique first. Else, I don't know whether you have the short or the long version, but considering length there are two atomizers too. One shorter and one longer and the longer one should give you a cooler vape due to the travel distance of the vapour being longer and having time to cool a bit. Also you can replace the mouth piece with full plastic ones like PTFE ( teflon ) or POM or acrylic but that will just make it easier on the lips not actually cool down the vapour. Hope this helps and vape safe :)

Land of many beaches.
I have a mega and they are fantastic little devices. The 0.5 ohm coil is definitely a warmer vape, as well as a much bigger cloud, so go with the 1.0 ohm coil. It's the one I prefer.

You might also consider the 1.0 ohm CLR coils, not so much for replacing the coil (which is fiddly), but mainly for easily replacing the wick.

I'm using the 2.5 tank with the 1.0 coil as I write this. It's on an istick 30 set to 11 watts. That's all I think it needs but opinions vary. I get nice vapor and a great taste. If you buy the One, look into CLR coils as they are made to be rebuilt and it will save you big bucks over time. It's a pain to fill so you may want to pick up a needle tip bottle if you don't already have one. Keep an eye on juice levels too. This sucker runs out kinda quick with the .5 coils and not much better with the 1.0s. You can see the level easier by holding it up to a light.
