I had some computer problems so couldn't add this to my last post in time:

You haven't offended or crossed a boundary, when it comes to him quitting I take any and all advice! He has his own apartment and I no longer have the "power of the purse" over him. When I did that kid got nothing for smokes from me even before I was vaping, and plenty of lectures. Unfortunately I have to take the blame there, me and my ex husband both smoke but never indoors or in the cars, but the they learn by example, and I was not a good example when it came to not smoking. I wish he would adopt my philosophy of letting others words not affect him, but he is a much more sensative kid in that respect. He doesn't drink and always says no if pressured, same with the drugs. And he may just be telling me its peer pressure when it comes to the ecig to keep from hearing the lectures LOL. I'll try the eCab with him and go from there I guess.

When the first of the month rolls around one fine day, and he's a little "short", Mom's purse might just start lookin' pretty good. :) And I think you're spot-on in your analysis of his "selective" peer pressure resistance!

Unfortunately kids at this age still think they are indestructable and it will never happen to them. Talk about health benfits of quitting and he shuts down completely even though I am proof of some of those benefits. Once I get to go to my ex's house I'm hoping to convert him! Me and the ex are very good friends, we just weren't good married LOL

I hear you about the "Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof" attitude that is so prevalent at that age, but you have at least two things on your side:

1) He knows he's harming himself, and

2) vaping - with the proper gear and juice - is more enjoyable than smoking. There inlies its greatest power.

Good luck!

"heart attack"? ...... what the heck ...... ? ........ oh, are you coughing? ..... snip, snip what? ..... oh, shorter ....... cough? ..... second word sounds like "cough" ..... "duck cough"? ...... what the heck is "duck cough"?? ...... crap, time's up ..... darn, now we'll never know! LOLOL

The 1000mah Twist is....not significantly slimmer than an 18650 VV mod. It's as big, or bigger, around than a Buzzpro...

Just reading through and noticed the above piece of incorrect info...I don't think it was corrected (if so, apologies) in subsequent posts for the benefit of readers who mightn't be aware:

The 1000mah Twist is actually the same diameter as any other Joye eGo battery, and as such is considerably slimmer than 18650 mods/the BuzzPro.

Wow, I see the leaking is a 'known' problem with the eGo-C ... at least I am not as worried I got a lemon now. Unfortunately, I think this experience may just send me back to my 808 I started with, it was never a problem with that. I only upgraded for the battery life.

I really don't care if you want to toss half of your $80 kit aside to keep $26 worth of batteries and an $8 charger.
But I do think you would be better off listening to those who actually use the eGo-C and have figured it out than those who tried it for a short while (or never in some instances as we saw here).
There is nothing inherently wrong with the eGo-C. If you have problems it is either a faulty part or a faulty user.
