Joye 306 LR vs Cisco 306 LR

Is there a difference? I want to try the cisco but it seems kind of shady. Some say "cisco design", "cisco spec" etc. Are these just 306 knock-offs (marketing bs) for a couple bucks more?

As I understand it, Cisco provided higher quality materials for making LR 306's, and the result has been a better performing and longer-lasting atty. As to whether there are actual design differences, I'm not sure.

He has also begun doing this with LR 510's, and I think others.

They get really good reviews from a fair number of people I trust, and Cisco is not a new-comer. He's been doing mods for a while, and I believe he was the creator of the laser mod.

I've yet to see a bad review on the Cisco LR306's, I'm sure you will love them. I've used the Joye LR306's and they are very good, but by all accounts the modded version is better.

whats the difference between 1.5 ohm and 2.0 ohm? Going to be using them (hopefully) on my (hopefully) Reo Grand.

Think I answered the question in another thread, young. PM Sterno, he's tried both Joye and Cisco 306's. I bummed/traded a couple of Joyes from him, and really enjoy them. I'll have to get the ciscos for my next purchase, but like you, I'm not entirely sure which ohm to try.

Come to think of it, I THINK Sterno told me he tried the 1.5's on the Cisco, and they were too hot for him. Don't think he's tried the 2 ohms.

For more flavorful juices, 2.0 is the way to go.

For example, Casablanca Juice from BWB (my DAILY) loses flavor at 1.5, but is HEAVEN at 2.0.

You're talking true 3.7 volts or ego/Riva 3.2 volts?

My Joye 306 doesn't have the deformed bridge that he showed in the video.
It is also a smaller bridge than the one he shows.
Maybe they fixed that?
Just checked and liquidxpress.com does not have the cisco on the site.

Look on the bottom of the atty, where it screws into the adapter. It's super-small print, but in a circle around the hole it says, "Cisco Ltd LR 306." That's how you'll know for sure it's a Cisco and not a knock-off...
