I ordered my setup from Cignot a few weeks ago and love it.

The only problem I've run into is that I've got a flavor issue every time I use a Menthol cart (the ones you can order prefilled from them). Once I've used the 510 with a menthol cart, the flavor seems "stuck" to the atty. I've tried "cooking" it off with some burns on the atty without the mouthpiece, "pouring" the vapor out of it, and I've also tried vaping it as if the cart was in (which has the normal effect of the cartridge being in there.

None of this seems to clean the atty. I know I can soak it for 24 hours in alcohol, but I've only got two and I'd like to clean them a bit faster if I just want to use the menthol cart for awhile. What can I do for a quicker fix?

Anyone who has had the misfortune to mix the Kiwi VG with this menthol on the atty knows what I'm talking about. Think brushing your teeth and drinking orange juice right after.

Corvus you might want to consider dedicating one atomizer to Menthol only. You can mark it with a file dot sticker, scratch in an identifier or use a gold/silver permanent marker. Much easier if you think Menthol will be in your flavor line up.

Back up atomizers are a must anyway (a 30% off sale is coming up at Totally Wicked on the 5th of December for a 5 pack!) so maybe it is time to add some to your stash. Choose a different color than your starter kit, then you'd know which ones were the menthol (your old one)!

Dry burns are likely to scorch the fiber wicking under the atomizer bridge in a 510. You can end up with worse than a menthol or Kiwi taste... that burned taste is terrible to try to get rid of since it is part of the wick that is fried.

Usually I skip the water all together since PGA alone usually works fine to remove flavors or clean and is very fast drying (I don't rinse with water at all since it evaporates so quickly). Just be sure to prime well before vaping again.

If you can't seem to get rid of a flavor, you can boil an atomizer covered in water in the microwave to remove flavors. Be sure to cover with plenty of water. I run it for 2 minutes to boil and let it sit in there until the water cools. Then use I use PGA for a quick soak to displace the water, blow out and shake it down like a thermometer until no more liquid flicks out of it and prime it.
