Joye 510 LR

I have found that there is a plastic coating or Lacquer coating on these that after a while starts to disintegrate and melt inside my UFS and makes the liquid taste really bad. Any others having this issue??

Sorry I'm a bit late replying to your post. I am talking to our Joye rep tonight and asking about this coating. It's the first I've ever seen of it but I am glad you've brought it to our attention.

Can you post a photo of the area around the VK logo so we can see if it is peeling there also? That's where the laser etching happens...so I'd think it would penetrate that area as well.

The coating is on top of the laser etching as well so it must go on after the etching is done.

Had the coating peel off of 3 attys, 2 were clear coated, one was pink (gf only uses cartos so i had the attys from her kit), the peeling happened after a vodka bath, but these were the older ones with the painted logo, not laser etched.

The peeling didnt bother me, now i don't have to hide the pink one under a ego cone, i like to use an extender so the atty actually screws on right at the top of the cone.

OK. Joye says there is a protective coating on them to protect the bare metal from scratches/etc. We were not aware of this. It is not applied to the inside of the tube.

I have spec'd the next batch of stainless atomizers (regular, LR, bulk regular and bulk LR) to -not- be coated.

They could not tell me exactly what it is other than "clear paint".

If it bothers you I'd suggest you to remove it with the methods you've described in the GG forum until the new batch comes in.

Thanks for the clarafication Rob! It definitely does bother me. Turns my juice into nasty crap.
Nice to know there's nothing on the inside. I haven't had a problem since I boiled and scraped them. It's just a PITA to do thats all. Please let me know when you get the new batch.

Do you have any idea when you'll get the new batch of the Joye 510 LR attys without the lacquer coating on the outside? Other than that nasty coating I can't kill a single atty I bought from your store. Would love to get some from the new batch!

Ah, mine was peeling off too before it died on me, I was wondering what that was, good to know that it's not something horrible I was somehow doing to it.

I have them here but they are not on the site yet. Just put a regular order in and put a note on the order to let Rob know that you want the non-coated version.
