Joye 510 PT wire break

I had some kittens and they chewed through my pass throughs wire while i was sleeping. It was a clean break so i stripped the wires and spliced them together but i get nothing. The atomiser is receiving no electricity. Another battery i had overfilled the atty and it drained into the battery and fried it on the automatic one. But the manual was still working. Unsatisfied with the 510 i purchased a DSE-905 which is much more enjoyable but now having problems ill describe in another thread.

Any ideas on whats wrong since splicing wont work?

Inside the pt there some small circuit boards, may have fried one when the kitties had fun. If you have a meter, you can check for current at the connection when the button is pushed.
