Meh, frustrated again. Been really enjoying the 510 for about a week now. Tonight, it seems like its gone perklunk already. I can't seem to get the draw or the hits i was getting nights prior. I have to really toke on it and just not much smoke, hit or anything.

Surely this should last good longer than a week? Have I damaged something? I have two atomizers and two batteries, switching back and forth both are acting the same way.

I just think this is too inconsistent for me. It was already high maintenance which I was fine with, but tonight I am just totally bummed. Draw after draw just feels like so little is coming out. Not one real throat hit all night.

Surely both batteries and both atomizers can't be bad already? Any clue what is going on here?

A lot of money down the drain if this is already hit a brick wall.

That's how it was for me when my batteries bit the dust. Glad I always have back ups! They are cheap compared to smoking! You are doing good if only 2 batteris are biting the dust because they are only good for so many charges. If cleaning the atty doesn't help, it's your batteries. Hang in there, it will be well worth it!

I sort of sounds like you've used too much juice and both the atty's are soupy. I don't recommend cleaning them but try this:

First check your battery. If you look inside where the atty screws in it should look dry with absolutely no moisture at all, if its moist, you are probably using too much juice and drowning it. Just wad up a paper towel and clean it out.

Blow through the atty's HARD while holding a papertowel to the opposite side (I think the current recommendation is to blow into the side that screws into the battery so the excess juice comes out the cart side). Wipe off the end of it that connects to the battery, especially the little holes on the side - if those get clogged up, it won't draw properly. After that, replace it on the battery (not too tight! just til its snug) and hold the button down for about 5-10 seconds while blowing into the cart end. A bit of smoke will come up - that's ejuice gunk getting burned off. Do that a couple of times.

Now, add 2 drops into the atty to get it re-moistened. Check your carts: they should be moist enough to look like a slurpee on top, any more is going to drown your atty.

Don't give up! There's a pretty good learning curve with these things, especially as compared with smokes, so it takes a bit of practice. It's worth it though once you get the hang of it.

Hope that helps.

Most models have vetelation slits cut along the sides where the atty screws into the bat. If your fingers are blocking those slits while you are hitting on it you won't get any airflow. If you don't feel any heat from the atty you either have a weak bat or your atty is plugged up and needs to be cleaned. Just blowing through it usually fixes that.

This happens a lot. Just take your atty and blow into a paper towel. Blow both ends. I bet your papertowel will have a nice little patch of juice on it with some pretty splatter dots around.
Take your cart and pull the filler out and rinse it and roll it dry in a paper towel. Put a few drops juice in now empty cart and put filler back in and add some more juice until it stops soaking it up.
Add 1-2 drops on atty, put cart back on and vape away.
This is assuming your batt is charged.

Surely the batteries would be good for longer than a week? I have only had it one week and I only use it at night. So about four hours a day is all two batteries are being used. I can't imagine they would go bad that fast.

Compared to what, smoking? a 510 kit is a carton of smokes and a couple bottles of juice a few packs. If you are that high maintenance get a Riva or a mod :vapor:

How is the Riva less maintenance? Don't they use the same 510 atty? And what do you mean by get a mod?

I am all for getting anything that will make it easier. I just don't always have the time to do all the stuff it takes to get it going right...it takes so much tweaking. That is the ONLY plus to analogs that I know of, they are no fuss no muss but a thousand more bad things about them.

I really don't want to go back to analogs and trying real hard to get this down pat because when it works right, its really good. I just think that if two batteries are already bad in one week this would end up being as pricey as analogs if I had to buy them this often (when you also factor in the juice and carts, etc).

I really wish I had bought the Ego but it seems that everyone goes thru trial and error with this stuff on what to buy first time around.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Will try all the suggestions when I get home this evening....

So? What happened? If the suggestions didn't work, may I recommend contacting the place where you bought your PV? Perhaps they had a bad batch of batteries (or chargers) come through. If they are nice, they'll probably replace them for you. :)

Oops, I just saw that post was from this a.m., I guess I'll have to find out tomorrow. Keep us posted!

I did blow out the atty's as suggested. DIdn't see anything come out on the papertowel though.
I have found that i get the best use hits out of this by putting two drops on the atty and NO cartridge at all on the end. Will this negatively impact the atomizer or battery? I have heard people do this, but dont know about doing it w/out even putting the cart in at all.....

I think that's called "tail piping". It won't harm anything, but if you like it you might want to get a drip tip to put on the end and make yourself a bit more comfortable: Driptip

If the PV works as long as there's no cart on it, though, then there must be something wrong with the cart filler. try using it like you are but take the stuffing out of the cart first (just to see what's wrong with it): so take the stuffing out, drip into the atty, put the cart back on and see if that works.

If that works then you have some thick, horrid filler in it. You can either snip some of it away so it's not so thick or else just toss the filler and put a little square of this stuff in it: Marineland Magnum Foam Sleeve "Rite-Size U" 3pk. you can get it at any pet store that sells aquarium stuff.

FWIW: I mostly just use a drip tip now, it's just so much easier than fiddling around with the cart filler. I guess the technology is still new and all the kinks aren't worked out yet. :)
