Hi,
I have been vaping for a few weeks with mixed results. I purchased a 'Super Cigarette' from Electronic Ash. It was listed as a RN 4081 Mini. It has a automatic battery that simply does not work well. Sometimes I get a good hit while other times I have a hard time turning it on (requires a hard draw to get/keep the light on). I think it is time to move to something better.
I have been looking at the Joye 501 and the Joye eGo. I don't mind the look of the larger eGo. The biggest drawback I see with the 501 is short battery life.
Can anyone offer their opinions on either of these two Joye units. I think manual batteries with suit me better. Who should I buy it from (I don't want a knockoff unit ... I want the best).
I continue to search and read this forum (it's great) for more information but in the mean time perhaps someone here can give me so pointers.
Thanks
Nat Gas

I use a 510 had it around two weeks now works great for me. The battery life isnt a issue for me cuz I bought the personal charge case. I bought my starter kit from fumo.biz cost a lil more there but I helped a friend with business so I didnt mind. I then bought a back up battery from litecigusa.net and vaporbomb.com has a good selection of juices.

I use the 510 Mega AND the eGo.
The 510 Mega blends in when in public and seldom raises an eye brow with others, whereas the eGo is a bit technical looking and does trigger dumb remarks, interesting conversations and is very seldom overlooked (I use mine mainly behind the wheel or at the desk).
The eGo by far outdoes the Mega regarding battery life: Well over a days worth of battery life with one eGo battery compared to two batteries with the 510 Mega per day.
Taste is yet another subject: The 510 Mega doesn't burn as warm as the eGo, which affects the taste of the e-liquid.
Vapor: The eGo produces way more vapor than the 510 Mega when used with the exact same atomizer/cartomizer and same juice.
I love'em both. Each has it's own advantages with the biggest advantage being that I can interchange atomizers and cartomizers to my liking. ... Just make sure to never plug your 510 battery into the eGo charger <oops!>.

I ordered both. I got the 510 and also ordered ego usb passthru (which doubles as a stand alone ego battery) I like the looks and feel of the 510 to be honest but the batteries do not last nearly as long as the ego. I just received 2 of the 510 mega batteries which I am loving, been vaping about 4 hrs on one and it hasn't died yet. Cignot is who I ordered from their customer service is top notch. I emailed a cpl of questions and received an answer email within 5 mins. Shipping is super fast!! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

I just got a Rive 510(same as Ego) from Liberty Flights and I couldn't be happier with it. On a heavy vaping day the 750Ma battery lasts me for a good 10 hrs. My wife also has one and she gets a day and a half out of hers.
Their 20% off (banner located in the upper left hand corner of the home page) makes the kits the best prices I have found.

I love my 510. With the two batteries that come with the kit, I had no trouble vaping on breaks at work. I've since purchased a charging case so I only need 1 battery now. I've also gotten the usb pass through, so no more swapping batteries at home.
The biggest hurdle I found was test liquids until I found one I liked. Like many others, I really like dekang's ry4. Irish cream is great to vape while reading also.

I barely starting vaping today, but have put a lot of research into my first starter piece. After quitting smoking, I ordered The Safe Cig, fell in love with it and wanted more. I decided on the Joye 510 and it has lived up to all the expectations. I love experimenting with all the ejuices. I'm planning on making my own pretty soon. If you choose to go with the Joye 510 I recommend getting the mega battery because the throat hit and vapor is about 5 times better than the standard battery.

Getting into this thread a bit late but they are good suggestions. The Joye 510 is great, lightweight but the battery doesn't last very long. Most 310 kits provide 2 so one can charge while the other is in use. The PCC also allows travel charging. The mega battery for the 510 does last a bit longer but does not fit into the standard PCC. The eGo is great. It is a bit heavier and bulky, but the battery lasts quite a while. Again, often kits come with two or there is a PCC kit that includes an eGo charger, two batteries, and an eGo PCC. IF you upgrade one or either to a PT then almost all bases are covered.

I have several of each and use them at different times for different reasons. One thing I rarely see as an advantage of the standard 510 is its light weight. Though the battery doesn't stay charged long, it is the only one I can hold in my mouth while I am working on something with my hands (using a flat tip). I use it exclusively when I am working in the yard, on the car, or photography. When I do that with my others I just about chip a tooth.

As for the coupon codes, Cignot (my favorite Joye vendor) I think still has a no-coupon policy. the coupon code for the vendor that was mentioned, I think, is a button on the upper left of their main page. Many places have sale codes off and on, but a master list of codes can be found at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/146219-coupon-code-master-list.html. Most vendors offer a discount for new customers or for ECF members.

I started with a Joye 510 and it is a good device, its best if you have a few extra batteries around though, I mostly use my Joye eGo which is a great batt cuz you have many options you can combine with the battery as far as accessories to suit your needs. I just git an eGo T Tank kit today with the new "tank" carts that have none of the polyfil inside just fill it with juice and ya ready to go, its pretty good so far, very smoothe and holds a lot of juice.
-got Joye 510 at vtvapor.com
-Joye eGo at vtvapor
-and just got my new eGo T tank kit from ecig.net(IMO better prices for all 3 here) wish i found this site from the jumpoff!!!!
