Joye eGo needs on/ off switch

I've been using the eGo for about a week now. At work, I keep unscrewing the battery every time I'm finished my break. Just so the thing doesn't activate in my pocket.
Does anybody know if there are batteries for the eGo that have an on/ off switch? would be a pretty cool feature.

If you are using the auto batteries, just order the manual batteries. They have a switch.

The button protector is not all that good it can actually dislodge and hold the button in!!!

I don't carry mine in a pocket that will cause misfires. There are several cases out there that can help keep your ecig safe and more sanitary. I never carried any cigarettes in my pocket with out the box.

I have the Ego and used the button protector and that actually caused more misfires in my purse....I don't use them, and I don't really leave them in my pocket book, you kidding, that puppy is always in my hand and headed for my lips...LOL...like a baby with a bottle...take it away and I might cry like one too...LOL...but I have the manual battery, not sure if that is what you have. I agree on getting a case that would keep that from happening for you. If you have a hardshell sunglasses case or eyeglass case, that may work....

yeah I had it in my pocket thinking the button guard was full proof... nothing like vaping your crotch to prove that wrong lol

yep that button protector is no good for pocket use.unless you want it to slide over and hold the button in for you.
if you must put it in your pocket get a épée pen case the ego fits nicely and its a small case. look at your local pharmacy

my solution? a maglite holster...works very well for me, as the eGo carrying case is to big to smartly fit in my pocket

of course, when i put the eGo in the holster, the switch is facing to the side to avoid pinching of the switch

I use a slim eyeglass hard case I picked up at CVS. It's a bit long, but my 510 Mega fit perfectly in it, so it's not too large. It is big enough that it won't set the button off and the ego will roll from side to side and there is also room for a couple 3ml bottles.

There are also manual and battery cover button so it does not activate in the pants

My ego started in my pocket when was a plane flying back home. Got a little burning sensation and could not figure out what it was. Ever since I am pretty carful about it.

The only time I have a problem with the button protector sliding off is when I use it with my Riva batteries. The band is more flush with the battery, so sometimes it will slide if I'm not paying attention. The eGo band is more recessed and I haven't had a problem with it activating the button.

That's a good idea. I use a TightPac cigarrette case. Fits any e cig* less than 4 1/4" long and there's enough room to fit an extra cartridge. The feeling of the TightPac is sort of like carrying around a standard Bic lighter. I put it in my pocket and I'm good to go for the day.

Here's a link. I paid $4 at the tobacco shop for the blue one. I see they are a bit more online, but it's handy, easy to use, and durable.
