Well I just just charged both of them that were dead and empty and for me it still charged exactly 45-1hr on my EGO batteries 650. For the hello battery 1300mah battery, an hr. I've looked it in between my stop watch and my wrist watch, so I was a little off.

I guess it varies when people are charging based on the electricity power outage they receive.

When I charge off my computer it generally takes 45 minutes to an hour too.

Sorry if I hadn't mentioned this but also the charge time is about 5-10minutes which is very quick.[/QUOTE]

First of all, if you said something rude to the person who said "little late", there would be a lot of people cheering you on. We are here to learn from each other.

I never got the ego kit, but bought batteries, covers, and battery extensions so that I could use the parts from my 510. At the time, got the 5 battery charger which was a life saver for the 510's. I use it for my ego (actually Tornado).

I did not order the an ego/tornado charger because it is the same as the 510, at least with Totally Wicked.

But 5-10 minutes charge time would make me re-think my philosphy about the fast charger. I have other Li-ION devices (electronics, tools), and they require about an hour to recharge.

The only fast charger for the ego/tornado that I have seen is a usb device, not a mains charger.

Also, does anybody know of a fast car charger for the ego? TW does not offer one since standard usb car cigarette lighther usb adaptors are 5 v at 500 ma which are not enough to power the usb charger.

Any help with this topic would be highy appreciated.

Actually, the AC to USB adapter that comes with the eGo kit is also 5V 500mA output. Which is also all you can expect from the USB port on a computer; standard USB power is 5V 100mA, with a standards-compliant cable / device able to request up to 5 times the norm, or 500mA, if available. There are exceptions, but you can't really expect to encounter them as of yet in most home situations (at least without doubling up USB plugs).

Edit to add: and the eGo charger takes that down to 4.2V / 420mA anyway (fairly standard for LiIon batteries.)

I'm glad people are stepping up to notice some charge times are faster as I mentioned earlier. The reason I changed the charge time description because there were users here who disagreed with me severely and had no choice but to change my comment about the charge time to have them get off my back.

Thank for sharing this. I got my kit from cignot.com wall/usb connector two piece that charges mines 45min to an hr. Their batteries, the ego 650mah charges in 45 or so, and the battery I got Hello battery 1300mah in one hr.

Again, thanks for the reply information guys.

Much obliged. Any other questions or additional information needed for you guys just ask. This was amazingly promising and I hope people consider this a secondary choice then using the old cig models.

Hi Icey! I've read a ton of reviews and I found yours to be very clear and understandable. Thanks...Based on your writing, I've finally decided to order the ego for me and a 510 for the hub. Think I'll go for PINK...LOL!

There you guys go again. it is not physically possible to fully charge a 650mAh battery in that short a time - there's no short cut by using a faster charger ......what you are seeing is your charger indicating that it is fully charged early.

Do some reading here: Charging lithium-ion batteries

Doesn't matter if the glass is half full or half empty, it's still half a glass.

I might have exaggerated on the charge time. If you need an exact time charging it's roughly at 5 minutes when I don't use the batteries much and 20 minutes to get it fully charged on a dead battery. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Icey, maybe we should get to know you a little better. You said that you may "...have exaggerated...". How often would you say you do that and to what extreme? Please try to not exaggerate your answer.

Um, no try again. Read my post above. I will not agree with your comments no matter what information you provide to me. I don't care what you bought or who you bought it from. Others and myself have already stated or experienced that it has charged much faster than what it was advertised on the website purchase.

I will not change my statement as others have too.

This is my last comment as I have come to realize that I am wasting my time. You see, I like communicating with intelligent individuals who have common sense, are filled with integrity and like to present real facts. Obviously, you don't qualify.

I'm going to order some tasty juice from Tasty Vapor and go to sleep.

I'm out.

Thank you for sharing your deep understanding of electronics, and for doing some research here on this forum before putting a stake in the ground. Also thank you for helping us understand what's going on - you claim to have broken the sound barrier by pluging your eGo into your USB port and then get nasty when you're challenged....

Any chance you're screwing your battery into the charger before you plug it into the computer, or do you plug in the charger and then screw in the battery?

Glad you're wasting your time because this is my time putting reviews in what I experience. Sorry that you can't write humbly but all you're doing Vaporologist is just writing in intimidation to get on people's nerves.

I don't know how many times I have to keep telling you that I'm using a USB wall adapter. It's a two piece connected for usb to the adapter adapter to the wall. USB turns green after a full 45min to an hr and wall adapter is red. It was left on an additional 1 to 2 hours extra making damn sure that I stand on my claims.

Good day, sir.

Bing bing bing!!!!....we have a winner!....Ego battery fully charged at 9:09!...wow that was alot closer to the 2hr mark then i thought id get. But mind you i drained the battery more then you normally would.By this i mean when i saw the battery led blink i vaped it again and let the battery light blink again. Then put it to charge.

Funny thing is that the led on the quick charger went green before the battery was fully charged. The light on my wall adapter went green over 20mins after.Huuummm...is there a chance the quick chargers go green before the battery is fully charged?...idk
