It's been two full days using the eGO after stepping up from a DSE 901. Wow is all I can say. The 901 reduced my analog consumption from a pack a day to 4 or 5 a day. Now, with the eGO I have only had 3 analogs in two days. Only because they are here. Could do without completely now I am pretty sure.
It seems that I am burning through the blank cartridges that I fill way too fast with this new eGO. How many drops should I be putting in the cart before re-inserting the filler and topping it up? In my DSE 901 I would use about 6 drops and with the eGO have been using about 10 drops. It seems just way too fast that my throat hit fades and I have to "top up" the cart. I have not actually calculated how many hits I am getting on a re-filled cart but it's not very much more than when I direct drip. Got much more mileage with a filled DSE 901 cart and it is like half the size. I do assume that the standard 510 type atomizer would have a faster burn rate in general than a mini DSE 901, so is what I am experiencing just normal for this type of PV? Or should I be loading my carts with more juice?
It almost seems as if my starter kit came with low resistance attys. I highly doubt that though. Any way to visually identify a LR from a standard atty of this type? I am wondering because the vapor production and throat hots have been outstanding with small drags, and combined with the burn rate of the carts.....hmm.
Also, I did go back and use my DSE 901 today and enjoyed the step-down. I thought I'd be tossing it to the curb when i upgraded, but am realizing there is room for both. Sometimes it is nice to mix it up a bit and to have that softer vape you get with a nice long steady drag that the DSE 901 delivers in comparison to the eGo 510 type atty. It's like a powerhouse of vapor to this newbie.
Thank you for any replies.
Edit: Hmm, as I typed this i took a break and refilled a cart with a VG juice (USA mix 18mg from L-F) and it seems to be lasting much longer. Nicer TH than i expected too and it tastes really good. Any correlation there between the type of glycerin and the mileage? Was strictly using PG liquids previously from another company.
