Joye eroll??

Seriously considering jumping from e-cigs to my first device and I think I want joyetech eRoll. I want to go wickless and size (smaller is more comfortable, for now) for me. I know smaller size will limit battery life. Any other good/bad points of this device? Personal experiance would be appreiciated.

Again, thank you in advance.
Still a newbie, Donna

Hi and welcome to ECF.
Eroll
Pros:
Fires at 3.7 volts.
Comes with a charging case (PCC).
Replacement batteries are inexpensive.
Cons
Batteries are only 90 mah (100 mah= 1 hour normal vaping) BUT can be placed in PCC to be charged.
Cartridges are small- .6 ml.
Cartridges and atomizers are proprietary- have to use eRoll accessories.

It's a good PV but I only recommend it for very light smokers because of the batt life and the small cartridges.

Hi. I got my eroll about 3 months ago. I love it but have began to think about a ego twist for at home use. I love the information here but it leads me to believe I am missing something. I have had a set back and am trying to get back on the horse and I think I will try an twist in hopes it well sping me back into the off stinkies completely mode.
I hope my experience helps. it was great for a couple of months but now I am craving more. What 'more' is I have yet too figure out..

I have two eRolls and love them for on the go or for just sitting down for a little bit with something that has the psychological familiarity of cigarettes but I mostly use larger gear. The small battery capacity has never been an issue for me as I just take a few vapes and put it back in the 1,000 mAh case and it's good for an entire day of out and about. The cartridges for juice are very small so you will need to carry some extras in a small pill case, Altoids tin or Tic Tac container. You can also use an Innokin iCan to just carry extra juice.

However, unless you are simply a casual smoker I would very strongly encourage you to get something larger than a cig-alike as that will provide you with a more satisfying vape. You use a disposable to test the waters to see if you need to supplement the larger device with the psychological familiarity of a cig-alike. If you need it a lot you can then add an eRoll or other rechargeable cig-alike to your vaping arsenal.

The iTaste VV 3.0 is a good choice for beginners. It allows you to adjust how warm you want your vape to be with the push of a button. Being able to do that can often make the difference between a so-so vape and an excellent one.

The iTaste VV 3.0 also features variable wattage (VW) in the smallest device available. VW basically means that you don't have to do any oHms math, the iTaste VV 3.0 does it for you when you use juice delivery devices with different oHms. It is very easy for a beginner to use but has advanced features should you wish to use them down the road but they are easily ignored if you don't.

This review from one of the more popular e-cig reviewers, Grimmgreen will give you an idea of how the iTaste VV 3.0 works.

If you don't mind waiting a week or two from shipping from Hong Kong Fast Tech has the iTaste VV 3.0 full kits for about half of retail.

eRoll is my first eCig and I have no regrets. I have since purchased an itaste VV so that I tweak wattage to my liking but I don't forsee the eRoll collecting dust. It's extremely convienent for taking out and about.

Small battery is a non-issue in my mind. Take a few drags. Goes back in the PCC. Take it out and repeat. I charge my once a day at night when I sleep and go thru about 3mls a day.

But I'd say at least 5 more cartridges are a necessity. With a tic tac container I can fit 7 filled carts plus the one on the eroll and I'm pretty much good for the day. And it all fits nicely in my pocket.

If you do buy also buy a second atomizer cone(apprx $2) so that you will have a second fully functioning eroll.

But it's small form factor. Handsfree operation are some huge advantages for out and about which is why I don't forsee myself putting it on the backburner when the itaste arrives. The eroll will just become my travel unit.

I started vaping and I haven't had a regular cig for 7 months now. I can say that if I woke up tomorrow and this vaping thing turned out to be a dream, I still wouldn't go back to analogs. For some reason my attitude towards smoking has changed, and I see it as disgusting and I can't even bring myself to even touch one because they've lost their attraction in my eyes.
I started vaping, and jumped into it full on and made it into a hobby. I'm constantly studying, learning about batteries, atomizer setups, and making my own flavored juice. I have found something that I can learn about and educate myself with (simple electronics, math) and so it's so much more than just a replacement for smoking with me. I advise anyone who decides to pick up vaping, to at least be smart enough to learn a little about what it is your doing, and practice safety and respect, watch those batteries and keep in mind the hazards.
MtnLady, good job on at least shopping around and doing a bit of footwork in the vaping arena before you even decide to take it up, most vendors do not seem to care so much about educating their customers, and if they can keep you in the dark about the more involved processes (like setting up your atomizers) so you end up paying them to do it for you, it's more money for them. Whatever setup you go with I would advise you to keep shopping around, read up here on the forums, and don't just give up if the vaping thing doesn't hold you the same as smoking did. It's very different, and most people who pick these e-cigs up aren't members of any sort of forum. For you to join here and ask questions before you even decide to make a first try purchase is a very righteous thing that the community owes you for! Welcome!

Anyone have experiance with Vapor 4 Life; Ultimate Manual Dial-A-Volt Starter Kit? It seems to have everything (I think I want) but it's a little pricey, don't mind paying good money for a good product though. What I really need to do is get to town and see a side-by-side of multiple devices. In the meantime, thank you for having this forum. I'm learning SOOO MUCH!

karla

This is what my friends wife does. She uses her twists and Iclear 16 clearos at home but for work, running errands she takes her eroll. I've tried it and admit it's better than what I was expecting.
Here is a video review by forum favorite Phil Busardo that explains everything you'd want to know about the eroll. Good luck and welcome to the ECF! :toast:

It's very expensive as there's only one battery. Realize also you'll be limited to accessories as it's an 808 thread. 510 thread is far more popular with more choices available.
Looks like the "Vapor 4 Life; Ultimate Manual Dial-A-Volt Starter Kit" is a rebranded Spinner (510 threaded). I own the Spinner and really like it.

The Vapor4Life kit is larger than the Innokin iTaste VV 3.0 and has far fewer features. It does not have variable watts which is easier for a beginner to use than variable voltage. There is no screen readout nor any pass-through capability.

Also, as Vapoor eyes er noted, the Vapor4Life kit has KR808D threading which is much, much more limiting in your juice delivery device choices than the 510 plus eGo threading that the iTaste VV 3.0 has. You can get the identical features as the the battery Vapor4Life kit offers in a Spinner or Twist kit (also has 510 plus eGo threading) for much less money.

Unless you have brick and mortar vaping specialty storefront(s) (not mall) nearby you will likely only find cheap gear for hugely inflated prices at places like smoke or head shops. The juices they carry often aren't very good either. However, if you do have one or more decent vape shops that will let you try things that is always a great way to get started.

I quit going to head shops (they had no knowledge of vaping devices) and found a vape store (Fresno/Clovis Vapor) and after tasting and trying many different combinations, I decided on a starter kit consisting of a 650 battery, CE4 Atomizer, charger, carrying case and charger. All for $35.00. I haven't looked back, thank you for all you help and suggestions.

An excellent choice and congrats. Seems like a reasonable price considering it's a B&M
