Just got my eVic today. So far I'm diggin' it a lot! No problems. Running the 1.2 firmware and the latest version of MVR. Haven't messed with the power curves yet. And I've only used an Evod and a T3. Gotta use up these before I try a VapeOnly BCC....

Here's two crappy iPhone pics, with my trusty eGo Twist beside the eVic for a size comparison. I thought I'd want a smaller battery tube to use 18350s but I don't think I'll do that now. I really like the size and weight of the eVic with the standard 18650.

I got a dumb question. So dumb that I'm not even sure of a succinct way to ask it.....

This being the first time I've ever dealt with a flat-top battery of any sort, I wasn't sure which end went where, meaning, I didn't know which was the positive end and which was the negative end. I assumed the negative end would be the end that went against the spring, and the positive end would touch the control head. Apparently I had the battery backwards at first, because nothing happened. Which is good, probably. Flipped the battery around, and all systems were go.

But I still don't know for sure which end is positive and which is negative. My eyesight isn't the greatest so if there was a marking or indicator on the pepto-colored battery itself, I couldn't see it. I just want to be sure for next time.....

I also want to be sure I insert it correctly into the xtar WP2 II charger that I've got coming.

yep....i'm a battery n00b.

Hah I'm in about the same boat but just under a month. Buying an AGA T2 soon…

There is also this replacement body and top cap that I'm looking at. It's an 18350 tube. He said hopefully they ship in march for about 45-50$

I got my 18650 stainless steel tub and top here it's longer then then one that comes with the evic so it can take protected battery's but if u want to go smaller they have 18350 & 18500 tubes too. The top cone is 22 mm the same size as the aga-t2

I got mine from Stormy's Vapor Cellar. Heaven-Gifts has them for $6.00 USD and are in Shanghai said:
Battery question follow up: I'm relatively new to the battery world so forgive my ignorance, but what is the recommend 18350 battery best used for the evic? button top or flat top? protected or non protected? and it has to be Li-ion right?

I would think a flat top would be better as the positive post from the control head sticks through the hole on the tube. I use both with no problems. I would suggest IMR but as I said I used unprotected batteries in mine. I am going to be getting some of the Efest 18350's here soon. But yes, Li-ion is what you want to use.

I use Efest IMR flat tops and AW IMR button tops with no issues.

Well dagnabbit! My Xtar WP2 II appears to be defective. Won't charge. When I put a battery in either bay (I've got the pink Sanyo 18650 and the green Panasonic 18650) the charge light just stays green. Oh well. I hope altsmoke's customer service is as good as smokeless image's. I'm guessing they are the same people, since the sites look like sister sites....

And thanks again for the battery clarification! I finally realized that the positive end also has what look like rings around that end.
