WOW Ikeproof, 1st thing I did when I got mine out was put it up to 11 watts haha.
11 watts on my new kanger T3 1.9ohm = 4.57v and that seems to be perfecttttto so far.
The reason I want to rip this damn usb thing off is it wont even plug back into the hole.

Now if only I could figure out how to make it say "HELLO Mr. Plumes!" haha

when I finally gave up on trying to get the top pushed back in, I ripped it out.
when I looked at it, it seems mine had a bend in a tab of plastic within the tail.
I believe that tab of plastic may have been designed to stop the tail from coming out too far.
But when I received my unit, and I pulled out the usb cover, it came out all the way naturally I think.
It may have been the vendor when he checked the stability of the unit.

Can anyone tell me how to make my welcome screen say my name? SAY MY NAME EVIC!!

I want to start off by saying that I love my eVic. Battery life is better than any other of my 18650 devices for some reason. The build seems a bit cheap, but I got over it as it vapes very well. I dropped it last week on my bathroom floor. I did not notice any damage to the unit, and it functioned properly. When I left my house today, i put it in the inside pocket of my ski jacket, like I always do. When I went to take my first vape, I pulled it out to this:

I popped the top cap back on, and it still vapes the same. But this worries me. I have a Provari that I have dropped several times, with no issues. The build of the Provari is much more solid than of the eVic. With the price of the eVic being so expensive, well over $100, I would have expected the build to be much better. Just wanted to share my thoughts.......

One look at the eVic should have made the difference in construction evident.
I really do not understand the constant comparison of one device to another in regards to price or build.
Yes Provari is much stronger. It has an enclosed control unit.
Vamo is built like a tank but isn't close in technology

Every Device is design specific and built around a features per price budget. It is up to us to decide which features we will choose or sacrifice.
Now..........Break out the Super glue and Vape on!:D

Not to mention that the ProVari is, at its cheapest, $150 and you can find eVics for as low as ~$70, so I would hope it was built a little more sturdy. I have an eVic in the mail right now and really hope it isn't as volatile as some people keep claiming; looking forward to playing around with it.....then again, I treat all my high-end electronics with the utmost care, so hopefully I won't have any issues.

I'm always a bit confused by the durability people expect from devices. I DROPPED IT on the sidewalk and it broke......and it's the fault of build quality or design. If I dropped my cell phone (not in a case, just like the eVic isn't in a case) or I dropped my camera or whatever high end electronic device you want to add in there, chances are that it would break as well. Take an iPhone 4 or 4s and you'd probably shatter both sides of it and yet except for people who drop it then want to blame it on build quality, I doubt many people...even Apple haters...would criticize the build quality of an iPhone very much. I also doubt anyone is going to make a Lifeproof or Otterbox type case for an eVic, but it sure isn't the eVic's fault when it gets dropped....a mistake yes, but well outside the design and use intent of the device. Tops start popping off while you're vaping or changing a battery....you bet that's a problem, but dropped?

I agree 100 percent! At last someone talks some sense, you drop it and it breaks your fault pure and simple, come on guys for example if I can dropped my Nexus 7 tablet I'm writing this post on right now and it breaks, and do I complain about build quality, of course I don't, instead I would say something like butter fingers that's going to cost you to get it fixed!
