HAHA Nice! Yeah I feel ya, and of course I know how to turn it on and off. The button clicks fine but it just doesn't do anything. Really wishing there was something in the MVR software that let you power it on and off. of course I have a feeling even if I did get it powered on the button wouldn't fire it.

Basically got a nice looking paperweight now.

Was this dropped at some point? Sounds like there is a bad connection with the button to the board or a bad solder on the board itself. I haven't taken it apart so I couldn't tell you how to disassemble it. Perhaps you can get a refund of an exchange from where you bought it. joyetech gets back from Holiday tomorrow I believe if you are still waiting on that email.

Never dropped, could be a problem with the board. Thanks for the info about them being on holiday, good to know that I am not just being ignored.

anyone's having problem charging their eVic battery?
I plugged mine in to charge battery yesterday and it stuck at 98 all night just wont charge anymore. everything works fine. maybe I should try to use it down a little bit more?

I recall seeing other posts with this issue, after upgrading to 1.2 beta software the problem seemed to go away. Is your software updated?

Just found a random but awesome feature! So I run a Vapeonly BCC tank, and the air holes are right above the threading on the 510 connector. When I screw the tank down all the way it covers the air holes and lets less air in, if I unscrew the tank a little bit it would let more air it. The problem with that is the tank would wiggle around a lot and it bugged me. Then I remembered the eVic top ring, and used it as a locking washer, basically.

The tank not screwed down (notice the eVic top ring is flush against the control head

If you screw the eVic top cap up and "lock" it with the bottom of your tank then it hold its perfectly (notice the tiny gap between the eVic top cap and the control head)

In both pictures the tank it in the exact same position, with the top cap you can make up that gap, and since it has 4 air holes there isnt any restriction

Alternative could be to find a small washer that will fit around the connector, then you could snug everything down

Sweet thread. Was actually just about to make one actually discussing the battery of the evic. Have had mine for about two weeks. A day ago I figured I'd do a battery life test. The battery has been off the charger since Wed morning at 5:30A.M. CST. I've been abusing the sleep function and vaping very, very heavily. I forgot to sleep it a couple times, BUT the battery is holding strong at 54% currently.

I was HIGHLY interested in VapeOnly's mega BCC, when I was upgrading to the evic. Instead went with a reg. and mini Vivi. One reason is they are very easy to rebuild. I'm still very interested in it, will probably snatch a few when I get a chance. Have you had any problems with it? And would it be easy to rebuild as well? I'm working on being completely self sufficient with my new hobby with minimal costs other than maintenance costs. (Wire, wick, PG/VG, NIC, Flavs, etc) Looks somewhat built like the Vivi?

A few bits of info:
Tank air restriction. There is a new Air flow controller out works great for adjusting to your preferred draw. LiteCigUSA and others carry it.

eVic - control head. The eVic has 4 wires - 2 down for battery post, 2 up for 510 connection.

PC can see eVic even of battery is not making contact since it plugs directly into the head.

Anyone using Windows, make sure you open the MVR software by right-clicking on it and selecting 'run as Administrator.' I have noticed a bunch of people having issues with it not detecting the eVic. Even GrimmGreens recent update review on the eVic complained about this issue...all the while telling you that he is not a noob with computers and couldn't figure out the issues (which I found hilariously ironic, haha).

Ok, still have not heard back from Joyetech but I think I figured out the problem. I was finally able to get it powered on by pressing the power button 5 times VERY hard, had to press the button so hard I was afraid I would snap it in half.

Regardless, once I got it turned on the button seemed to work fine, however the home screen options keep switching between ohm/voltage, date etc. and puff counter.

If I go into the menu system it just continually scrolls, makes setting anything a NIGHTMARE. I was finally after about 10 minutes trying able to get most of the settings right, still can't get it off 2.5 second auto draw which is annoying.

Basically it seems like the evic is stuck thinking it is scrolling left, if I scroll right I can get the scrolling to stop momentarily but after a second it keeps going the other way.
