This is a brief review of my recent re-immersion into the world of E-cigarettes, and more specifically my thoughts on the 18650 powered eGo T I recently purchased and have been using for a couple of weeks now.

The first time I tried e-cigs was a few years back and I never really managed to transition over and stick with it. In my personal opinion electronic cigarettes have come a LONG ways in the past few years and I find the newer products available nothing short of amazing.

I purchased two of the 18650 powered eGo-T "tubes". For $25 each I received two separate pieces, the actual battery tube and the control head. The control head is a joytech product, the button illuminates when pressed and features the "5-click" on off feature found I understand on eGo batteries. I also purchased (3) AW Black 3.7volt 3100 mAh protected batteries and a half dozen smoktech dual coil cartomizers (eGo).

Pros: I have yet to come close to depleting one of these batteries in a day, some of those days have been 16hrs+, and I've been vaping like a freight train!
The smoktech dual coil cartomizers hold a lot of e-juice, produce an amazing quantity of vapor and in my opinion look great on the 18650 powered eGo-T. (the cartos and my 18650 are both black and it looks like it was made together!)
Low maintenance, I can vape literally for hours and not worry about refilling or changing batteries.
Last but certainly not least PRICE!! For less than $50 I have a rocking setup! (I realize the cartos won't last forever, but I have yet to kill one). For less than $100, I have a full backup/replacement.
Vapor! Massive beautiful clouds of vapor, every time! Haven't touched an analog in almost two weeks, that hasn't happened ever in the 25+ years I've smoked analogs, the vape for me is extremely satisfying!

Cons : At roughly $22 the batteries aren't cheap, im ok with that considering the time I'm getting out of each charge.
Size : at nearly 8" in length and the tube about the diameter of a nickel, it's not small. I carry it in my pocket with the switch shut off, but that might not be for everyone.
The tube material is relatively thin, and I cant speak to the longevity of the device after such a short time, Again im ok with that as I can replace the entire thing for $25, and the control head for about $11.
Not variable voltage although I believe that there is an optional control head (V2) that allows you to operate the device at 4.15 volts, switching to 3.6 as the battery depletes.

Overall : I really love this device, and the price to what you get ratio is outstanding in my opinion! If battery life is a primary consideration in your decision making process and you are ok with the standard eGo battery voltage then I think this device is worthy of consideration.

I bought one of these about a month ago. I bought the battery separately from Amazon and it doesn't last long. However I will not comment on the battery really since it's not something that came with the eGo-T Mod.

I got mine from LitecigUSA and was pretty happy with it at first. The only qualm I had was that the threads were difficult to line up and cross-threading would be something to watch out for. Overall though, it is a decent unit.

Fast forward to now (a month later):
Today I had to order a new unit because the threads on the eGo-T mod are completely stripped out. Although I never did cross-thread the thing, the threads still wore out incredibly fast. It's to the point where it only holds together by about half a twist worth of threading. Can't keep it in my pocket because it falls apart.

Summary of my experience with the Joyetech eGo-T 18650 mod:

It's a neat little device and holds promise. Although I wouldn't recommend buying it, I think that I would if it were improved just a little. The biggest problem with the thing is the threads...they are difficult to line up from the start and since the thing is made of aluminum, they end up stripping out quickly. I'm probably a little harder on my equipment than many people so others might get more time out of it. It lasted a month for me.

Hopefully Joyetech will realize this thing has a threading problem and fix it. If they would design it so the threads were deeper and lasted longer I would buy another one and recommend it to others.

I've had nothing but luck with both of mine. I purchased them over the summer, and they have been fantastic. I'm not one for vari-voltage, and I always used a p16 or silver bullet, but I wanted to be able to use the ego-c system and I like joyetech stuff. The tubes on mine are actually pretty thick, not as thick as an SB or something, but they don't need to be, and it's close enough. The first thing I did when they arrived was put noalox on the threads, and they continue to be buttery smooth. It's helpful to put the switch on and turn it backwards until you feel it seat, then screw it down. I have to do that on my p16 as well. I think it's a well built unit. If you're like me and like staying at the 3.3 volt range (I don't use unregulated switches), and like the ego line, this is a good investment wether you like rocking high end mods or not.
