Trust me, no matter how well you take care of a new mod it will definitely show wear and tear as i have yet to find a way to avoid the unavoidable drop lol.

Actually it works out well like that because after using a mod long enough the obsession of keeping it pristine wears off , you start to care a little less imo.

The mods CHEAP anyway , just buy another.
They will all eventually show wear and tear of course but I want that wear and tear to be caused by me. I was really mad thinkin I had received a used mod that was supposed to be new! So glad I was wrong. I hadn't even thought about a protective film on it. Lol

I remember when the joyetech eRoll came out, people had same problem, not realizing that alll the scuffs were just protective film making the PCC case look scuffed. Peeled it off and underneath was shiny and new.
Do you know if the joyetech evic vtc mini has the film on the screen too?
I have that one also but hadn't ever looked for a film on it and now that I know the cuboid has one, I was curious.

I actually thought my Cuboid did not have the film and was disliking the finger prints and scuffs the film was showing. When I ran across this thread I rechecked the screen with a fingernail and sure enough - the plastic is there.

Personally I like leaving the plastic on as long as possible as then when I take it off it will be like I have a brand new Cuboid!

While I did have a mod fall out of my pocket while on the roof and got to watch it take a flying leap off the roof into the driveway, all my other mods look new-out-of-the-box.

I'm with you on that one. I like to leave the film on all things that have it for as long as possible!
Did your mod still work after taking that fall?

The Blue Sig vMax mini picked up a few scratches from the drive way, the mounted full size Nautilus snapped in two when it hit the driveway - glass still in tact however tank seperated at the air control ring - even the Nautilus was still usable after the drop! (with a little re-assembly work) Very impressive.

    Definitely impressive!
With what the cuboid weighs, I just wonder if it would fair as well. Lol

I've been using evic vtc and supertank (.2 ohm coil) or velocity mini (.17 ohm) for my daily vape. I vape 60 watts and the battery drains really fast.
I don't mind the hassle of carrying 3 back up batteries though changing the battery every now and then can be a bit annoying.

Now.... would it be a good idea to switch to cuboid?
You will get more vaping time before having to switch batteries with the Cuboid.. Whether it's worth it for that alone is up to you to decide. FWIW, I'm enjoying my Cuboid a lot.
