I am not experiencing issues over filling with e-juice. It is just the same as filling a Squape to me. I watch to the right of the edge I am filling at. As the juice rises it will show up first right next to the stream I am flowing into the tank. I stop & the juice will seek it's own level, add a little bit more and done. Trying to watch the juice rise in the windows just takes your attention off of the top edge of the inner tank, where your attention needs to be.

This tank is bullet proof if you drop it. Mine has been dropped on concrete 3 times and no issues. Once with 100w plus attached. Hit tank first. Chipped concrete! Tipped over my subtank on granite counter and broke glass, my girl dropped her Atlantis on hard wood and bottom separated from base! The build quality of this tank keeps impressing me,the Vape quailty does as well. I can make it whistle but not as my normal airflow settings.

I did hear someone say they had a machine oil smell, so I was expecting that, but this is not a machine oil, it is like air freshener with a 'sweet' smell. Maybe a packager spilled her perfume in my box!! LOL Just opened the box again and there it is. Darn.

I had both of these smells. Entire inside of box had perfumy smell & the 2nd coil also. The tank smelled of machine oil & so did 1st coil inside it. I spent 5 hours cleaning tank, & also cleaned the outside of both coils. After that i couldnt smell anything anymore on tank or coils.

FWIW the extra 5pk of coils were perfectly fine, never a hint of smell.

Wondering if you tried cleaning the outside of your coil that smelled of rank perfume before using it ??
I will vape at least 2 tanks worth of juice thru it before i give up on this coil & swap it out.

You are correct. At lower watts the SUBTANK hits better. The DeltaII comes alive at 35watts and up.. 40 watts with air wide open is my personal preference. I should have a First look video tomorrow night on the iStick 50w paired with the Delta II.

Thanks for doing that review. Good info. I don't have the SubTank but my Atlantis tanks work great on mechs (better w/2 batts but decent even on Nemesis) & good enough at 34w regulated on 2 batt mod. Will now go look at your iStick 50w + Delta 2 video, as i put my Delta 2 on a dual batt 50w mod.

Has anyone actually measured the Delta II's tank capacity yet ?

Specs say 3.5 ml, but i cant believe how fast i went thru my 1st tank, almost ran it bone dry before just now checking the level & seeing about 2mm left in the slits.

I'm seriously doubting that 3.5ml spec right now, after looking over the tank again w/ capacity in mind.

This thing Eats juice !! That's ok, it's worth it, & DIY juice is cheap. Flavor is getting better. Will use a syringe next fill & see what that shows. Curious if others have measured it ??

The review on taste your juice confirmed that it holds exactly 3.5 ml

For whatever reason I'm noticing the coils getting a delay from hitting the fire button to actually heating the coils - about a 1 to 1.5 sec delay. It's happening after maybe 2-3 days of usage, 12-15ml of juice. The flavor seems a bit weaker but not bad. Typically on my Subtank or Aspire when this happens flavor is very diminished and it's time to change out the coils. But, with those, it's maybe after 2 weeks of serious use going through 50+ml of juice. I do use higher VG juice, but again, hasn't been a problem with the other two tanks. Anyone else notice this? I'm on my second coil with the Delta 2, the ones that came with the device.. I haven't seen any complaints about the coil life so I thought I'd ask.

I have all 3 of the so called 'Big 3' sub ohm RTAs, Atlantis, Sub Tank Mini and the Delta 2. I love the flavor on the Delta 2, but I do not feel it is significantly better than the others, just a hair.

Maybe it is just me, but it so far the Delta 2 is only a tank I can use for evenings running wide open when I want more throat hit. It's a very hot vape for me. I run the Atlantis at 30-35w, no problem. The Sub tank mini, I like around 25-30, so it's not like I am 12 watt vaper. I can not seem to find a setting that works well on the Delta 2 though. Even low wattage, like 15 or so is hot, and is oversaturated when run at low wattage. It actually is smoother up around 45ish ripping the air as hard as I can. That is fine for once in a while but not an any time vape by any means. Makes me wonder what I am doing wrong because I do not see anyone really mentioning how warm/hot the vape is on it in the reviews out there.

I do notice that after the first dozen pulls or so it tends to level out and is not as strong/harsh/hot as when I first pick it up. I have been using the RDA deck with a 1.0ohm coil and KGD.

Waiting on my RDA deck Ratman...I am curious about how that will work compared with the RDA on the Subtank Mini (which I really like).

I will not use the prebuilt coils for the Delta 2...there for it just sits waiting for the RBA. I took a few pulls using the prebuilt and every time I have tried that, within 2-3 pulls I get a "flavor" I don't like at all and a headache. I do think the whistle is annoying as heck. That is just poor design.

Building the RBA at 0.4-0.5 and Japanese cotton should clear that up...except for the blasted whistle!

I don't get any real whistle with it wide open, which is where I like to run it. No more than any of the other RTAs with big air flow. they are all noisy but I wouldn't call this a whistle. I did re-wick today and lowered the coil a little bit closer to the air hole and it has seemed to help a little bit but still much hotter than the other 2 tanks at the same wattage.

Thanks for posting that, Riff89. I really like this tank and was hoping there was nothing fishy going on. I can't wait to compare it to the Horizon Tech Arctic Tank tomorrow. I'm looking forward to trying those .2ohm coils more than anything :p

Well I don't know if you call it fishy but...I am very apprehensive about the MMMF. RoHS testing is fine but intended for electronics, not something you inhale. While its good to know those elements and chemicals aren't present there are others than just RoHS to be concerned about when inhaling. That's assuming of course you believe the stamps, believe the reports etc. There was some chemical causing the weird smell but it was gone after a thorough washing with everclear. And even at 9 microns, that is still a microscopic javelin that can get lodged in the soft tissues of mouth throat and lungs. I have rebuilt the nautilus and the Melo cartridges with KGD for that very reason. But for the Delta II, I just pitch the cartridges and use the RBA section. Removed factory wick, washed with everclear and rewicked with my own KGD. Works wonderful.

I've been using my Delta II for a couple of weeks with the supplied heads. Just this weekend I got my RBA sections. I opened up the section and there was already a build in there. Usually I rip out factory builds and do my own, but I was a little pressed for time & thought, "What the hell." So I left it in juiced her up & went to my appointment. 1.02 build working just fine. I will eventually build my own, but I am pleasantly surprised & like it better than the nonrebuildable heads. I will be using this RBA section for my Delta II from now on. Nice, very nice.

Is anyone using one of these with a mech mod like a Nemesis? Looking at the ohm/volt/amperage charts, I see that my Samsung 20R should be able to handle the 0.5 ohm coils, yet Joyetech recommends a 30A rated battery for mech mods. Are these tanks only good with regulated mods?

It'll work nicely on a mech mod. Use these two simple formulas to determine wattage and amperage draw.

First calculate wattage. (Volts x Volts ÷ Res = Watts) so..........4.2v x 4.2v ÷ .5ohms = 35.28 watts

Next calculate Amps. (Watts ÷ Volts = Amps) so..........35.28w ÷ 4.2v = 8.4 amps.

Better safe than sorry always but you really only need a 10amp max continuous current discharge battery. Lots of 18650 batts output more continuous current than that....including your 22amp sammy.

Good luck
