[h=2]So, i bought a joyetech 18650 mod v1 from goodejuice.com and after 3 days, the control unit failed and got stuck on, wide open! burnt my fresh emdcc all to heck. anyway, i contacted them and they want me to ship it and my battery off for inspection and replacement. after paying shipping and what not, i might as well buy a whole new head. problem is all i can find is the v2 head and it says its not compatible with the v1 tube. i can hardly believe that after looking back and forth for a while and think it will fit. any one have any expierence in this or know y it is not compatible? is the battery polarity orientation the same? thanks![/h]

I put the eVic on my old 18650 joyetech tube. Then, after a few vapes, wondered about a vent hole in the bottom of the tube. Since there wasn't one, I drilled a hole in the base, just in case. Better safe than sorry.

Must have been a V0.9.. ;) Both the V1 and V2 setups I have came with the battery cap pre-drilled...

So, I have had my v2 head for over a week and it definitely fits. But..... In low voltage mode it only puts out 3.01 volts and 3.28 in high voltage mode. Somewhat disdisappointed. I put the battery in a box mod I made and got 4.09. I'm using a AW IMR 2000mah. I think I need a vamo or a provari to get the results I'm going for. I wonder if I can disassemble the head and swap out the regulators on the pcb. I have been soldering for quite some time and am confident I can handle it... But which one? Or maybe the pcb traces are too thin. Ima find out though! Any sudggestions?
