So a couple of weeks ago I bought a joyetech eGo-C Twist 1000mah from my local distributor. Upon purchasing the battery, I was warned that the lifespan of these batteries is only 4-6 months, but I figured that since they are relatively cheap, I can live with that. I have been using it regularly for about two and a half weeks, and it is already starting to have issues. Sometimes when I leave it on the charger, the light will never go green no matter how long I leave it there, and even if it does go green, the battery life is extremely poor (3-4 hours).

Do these have any kind of a warranty through joyetech? Should I bring it back in to where I bought it? When I bought it, I was not given any kind of a box for it, just the battery and a receipt. Am I screwed? If this is the kind of quality I can expect from an eGO, I won't be buying another.

Where did you purchase it from? Are you sure it isn't a clone? Go to joyetech.com, they have a distributor list. I'm unsure about warranty, but I would think it would be at least 30 days.

I just checked a few suppliers and they appear to vary wildly from 14 days to 90. Yikes! If you contact them, it might be a different story though.

Someone had twists on sale the other day and I emailed them and asked about the warranty. Never heard back so I purchased elsewhere.

I wouldn't purchase from a vendor that doesn't answer questions either. It tells everything about the way they run their business.

The guy who runs the store that I bought it from is on ECF, so I don't want to make any accusations until I have had an opportunity to talk to him about it. He has always provided me with excellent customer service, so I am not overly worried about it.

I've always had great luck with all of the suppliers here. I buy for two of us in my house and 2-3 people that are apparently allergic to computers. Never had a problem- knock on wood. They probably think I'm the customer from hell but they're nice about it!

j/k I think I've had issues with 2-3 batteries in two years. Both times within a few weeks of getting them. One within a day. Stuff happens, I guess.

The issue has been sorted out, and I couldn't have asked for better customer service. They took my battery and charger for the night, which had me worried for a second, but then they gave me an identical Twist and a smaller eGo (in case the Twist wasn't fully charged) to use while mine was being diagnosed. Then the next day, I get mine back with a new charger, but they let me hold on to the small eGo just in case there are still issues, which there were. The charger doesn't even recognize the battery. So I go back in the next day and they give me another new charger and a brand new Twist. Problem solved. I was so happy with them that I went in yesterday and bought a second Twist from them. :)
