Until last night at the local b+m shop, I thought I had an ego c twist. Turns out I have a knockoff, and a bad one at that. I was wondering the best place online to get the real deal. The threads on either the batteries I have or my charger are also screwed up. Its all junk I guess. So what I'm looking for is two 650mah batteries and a wall charger. Without needing heads im wondering if a starter kit would still be the most cost efficient way to go. I have two kanger protanks that I like, but if it is cheaper to just get heads I wont use than so be it. Any suggestions?

A kit is not necessarily cheaper, especially if you don't need any heads.

I like this kit because it comes with very good heads that you may well like, is fully customizable and gives you an option of trying a Twist and/or a Spinner, if you wish. Many people actually prefer the Spinners:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

If you don't want a kit, their prices are fair for a la carte Spinners and eGo Twists. Or do a Google search. Many sites offer sales and coupon codes.

Good luck.

+1 on MVS. I bought my first Joyetech Twist here and I use it daily, 6 months later. Still in good condition, though some of the shine around the button isn't as shiny. Other than that, it looks great. I'm not hard on my equipment though. MVS is an OEM supplier for Joyetech so on the bottom of their Joyetech devices, it will say MVS but it's still the real thing.

Yeah, all those Twistalikes seem to be good. I have a Twist and a Spinner and no problems so far. :)

That said, I found that if a website clearly states the brand/make of a product then that is what they are actually selling. But one has to be careful. Even Fasttech is very meticulous about that: if they list a "Nitecore I2" charger or a "Kanger ProTank," then that's what it is. If they just say "ProTank" or "ProTank style", then it's not Kanger. Which doesn't necessarily mean that it's bad--many knockoffs are probably manufactured in the same factory. ;)

Hello ECF, sorry to threadjack, I can't seem to find the "new thread" button on the forum.

I have a question about the eGo C Twist. I went to my local headshop and the owner tried to sell me just the battery for $32. I looked it over and it had the Joyetech logo on the bottom and the light shined brightly, just as seen in the Vaper's Handbook; but I cannot remember if the cone had any conformity standard stamping on it. Nonetheless, the battery looked pretty legit, but there was one thing that sent a red flag up. The click unlock/lock feature worked in 3 clicks and not 5 as stated by, well, everywhere lol. Is this a telltale sign that this is a fake? Or is Joyetech, incorporating new features into their product that they have not yet updated into their website?

I'd appreciate if you more experienced vapers would enlighten me about this subject. Thanks in advance.

The 2 that I own are 5 clicks on and 5 clicks off. You mentioned the Joyetech logo. Look at the attached photo. The bottom has their mark and on the top where you screw in your clearo there should be the letters CE and and a trash can with a X through it. Lots of fakes have e-Go C-twist on them.

What happens when I go back to the shop and see the (CE) conformity stamping and all on the twist, but it still uses 3 click on/off? Do you think this could be a new feature?

It could be a new feature but I doubt it. Both of mine are 2 months old. I looked at a few sites which I know sell the real Joyetech C-Twist and they still say 5 clicks on and off. The symbol on the bottom is stamped in and the dial is very hard to read but will have 3.2, 4.0, and 4.8 on it.

Realize that CE marking is not the conformity logo from the EU but a Chinese copycat logo...apparently it's supposed to mean China Export but no one will take responsibility for the Chine CE logo as they know it infringes on the EU CE mark.

What kind of a warranty are they offering?

I myself have an eGo C-twist 1100mAh I got from my local vape shop, so it is emblazoned with their logo. I enjoy it and will probably continue to use it at work. I'm looking to expand, been reading reviews and stuff about different mods and tanks.

Anyway, back to my C twist. It says on the side, under the shop logo, "eGo C-twist 1100". It has an adjustable voltage, marked 3.2, 4.0, 4.8 and 5-click lockout feature, but on the bottom of the dial, there are none of those markings you guys are referring to. Just a plain, shiny, stainless cap.

Hi Movin, since you're new to ECF, for now you can only start a thread in New Members forum. Go to the main page of the forum (where all the threads are displayed) and look at the top the page--on your left hand side there is a big blue button saying +Post New Thread. Click on that button and you should be able to start a new thread.

I've never heard of an eGo with a 3-click function; the light blinks 3 times, but you have to click 5 times. :)

Good luck!
