Hi,

I am a long-time smoker who tried the 510-T last year for a couple months with little luck. I am once again trying to kick analogues and purchased an Ego-CC 650mAh and so far, I have not had one analogue since (it's been about a week or so).

This Ego-CC is very different from the 510-T I used and I am confused after pouring through the forums and was hoping I could ask the community for help.

I am pretty much overwhelmed with all the diff atty types for this device (e.g., A, B, LR), whether or not I need to do any maintenance other than cleaning/replacing the atty, etc. Here are the things that I am struggling with:

1. There doesn't seem to be a clear answer on the difference between type A and type B attys. I understand the Ego-CC can use either--does it matter which I use?
2. When do I know that I need to clear/replace the atty? I was turned off by all the 'maintenance work' with the 510-T, can I just run it through water and dry burn it between difference flavors? I am still unsure as to when it's better to replace it rather than just clean it.
3. The clearomizer: does it ever require replacing the metal tube with the glass level window? I am putting the juice in through the hole on top and that's nice and easy, but with my 510-T I had to replace the little rubber caps and the carts regularly. I am unclear on how this applies to the Ego-CC clearomizer.
4. Mixing 24mg and 12mg--would it work if I filled half the Ego-CC chamber with 24mg and half with 12mg and just shake it up? Or must I mix it before I put it into the ecig?
5. The battery is a Ego-C Upgrade: I have tried the 3.3V and the unregulated and I can tell that there is a difference, but I am not really sure what the difference is. Can someone help me understand what the difference is on using the two difference voltages?

I know there are a lot of questions here, I can't post on any of the other forums yet, and would appreciate any help.

Many thanks

Being on the newer side myself, I'll help with what I can, and other members can correct my mistakes.
Maybe it's just me, but I've never heard of a/b attys, only attys with different threading like 510, 808, ego, etc.
You'll definitely know when your wicks need to be replaced, as they give off a burnt taste, and if the coil goes, it won't fire. The best advice I can give is buy clearomizer a with rebuildable heads.
Vivi nova I find extremely newb friendly, and completely rebuildable.
To learn how to rebuild, youtube is your best friend and can show you how to properly clean and dry burn to extend the life of your device.
The liquid tank shouldn't have to be replaced for a very long time, or if you drop it and crack it.
Mixing eliquid in the clearomizer will work.
The voltage it fires at is almost how hot the battery heats up the coil. Since it isn't variable, you can't control this, but my thoughts would be it just fires hotter than your old battery.

There is waaaaaay more math involved in this than I bargained for hahaha.
Any other members, feel free to correct me!

Hello villagejazz and welcome to ECF.

Yes, you need to have at least 5 posts to be able to ask your questions in the appropriate forum; it's not that hard--just chat with us a little in the New Members forum,

In the meantime, start reading this thread--there's a lot of information about your device:

And this one:

Also, check Youtube--eGo-CC reviews and tutorials.
