The thing is...(i.m.o.) that joyetech seem unable to realise the situation. They are still pushing (in terms of sales and development) the atomizer systems. In the UK, people go into a shop, get sold type A, type B, CC systems and then wind their way onto e-cig forums to say it doesn't seem very good.
I can't work out if joyetech are avoiding the obvious (developing a clearomiser system) for money or some strange belief that the products are actually good. I know a few people get on with them, but the success rate seems low.

I met a Vaper back in September (2013) who was using tornado type atomisers. He was buying 2 x 5 packs a month. (£40) for him and his GF . I introduced him to a UK vendor that sold evods and mini novas. He reduced his atomiser running costs to £14 a month.
£26 a month is not insignificant.

The mistake they made was calling it the eGo-CC, which causes people to mistake it for the eGo-C.

This is what I started on, I've got 3 of these that I don't use much anymore. I've found that when your e-liquid gets down to about 1/4 it will start to gurgle & you'll start sucking e-juice, just fill it back up & it will be good. I also happened to lose the o-ring seal on the Atomizer head cap on one of them & couldn't find a replacement so I took a thin slice of a cartomizer condom, worked great.

Bottom coil tanks - which are the common ones nowadays, naturally have the issue of gravity drawing liquid downward to the coil, and eventually leaking. I keep mine upside down most of the time.

To reduce the possibility of leaking, try a topcoil, like the smokteck pyrex vivi nova.

New vapers will tend to get more flooding/gurgling with bottom coil clearos, and dryhits/burnthits with topcoil clearos.
To reduce flooding on a bottom coil you just need to keep the clearo upside down when not in use; and to reduce dryhit with a topcoil you just need to wet the coil by for example giving it a shake or a twirl.
