Joyetech Ego One charging (alternative chargers?)

Hi guys,

Just needing to charge my Ego One for the first time. The adapter that was included with the kit is an international adapter, and I live in Australia. So I was just wondering if it is safe to use any adapter (with any micro USB cord)? The output specs on the international adapter are 4.5v, 1.0A (going from memory). So would any charger with the same specs be sufficient, say a phone charger?

As a follow up question... If I use a charger with a higher amperage output (same voltage output), will that charge the battery quicker? Or would that be a bit dicey?

As far as i know, as long as the voltage and amps are the same it should be ok. I don't know if I'd use one with a higher amperage, I'm sure what they come with have those ratings for a reason.

Further to the above question... Just wondering if any of you guys have experience charging devices with portable battery packs (such as http://www.comsol.com.au/Products-by-Category/Officeworks_Retail/COSN4400).

The output is 5v 1A. So it doesn't quite match the supplied adapter's output specs.

Power banks only put out the amount of power a device requires. It is up to 5v, not constant 5v...
