Hey there folks...another old Ecig vet here looking for the closest mod to replace my failing Egrip II. I like simplicity without all the hype or big screen tv attached. I'll just list my preferences and hopefully someone will know of a mod that will work and is available.

So I need a simple box mod about the size and shape of the Egrip II...
510 thread on top..or can convert to it like the Egrip II does
80 watts or larger but no dual battery...one 18650 preferred
No fire button on top...no charge port on top or bottom
No squonk boxes or Pods of course
No leather coverings
No mechanical boxes...must have the usual battery and coil protections

I run a Geek Vape Avocado 24 tank with a .55 ohm dual coil setup at 34 watts.

I've been pretty much out of circulation as far as keeping up with whats out there and I haven't bought anything in over 8 years or so. That said...if you can think of anything that may work or reputable companies with a good selection to look at please leave me know.

while i have no idea this was posted as a suggestion in the evolv thread
The Pulse AIO is really popular right now and it is inexpensive running for about 50 bucks. Requires a 18650, 20700, or a 21700 battery. The tank that comes with it uses Vandy Vape VVC mesh coils. And they have like 6 different types ranging from tight MTL to RDL. And it is boro compatible, so tons of different options are available from many sources.

@nicotime the Aspire ZELOS X 80W mod fits your requirements. It's $29.99 from Element Vape.

In my experience Aspire makes excellent gear. I own several of their mods.

ETA: Darn it!!! Those are out-of-stock too. I'm not batting so hot.

The Eleaf iStick Pico 2 mod might be another option.

ETA: I just realized those are out-of-stock at Element. Sorry.

I had never seen that mod before. I hardly run any single 18650 mods any more. However, pretty much every 21700 mod comes with an 18650 adapter. Just going off of looks, it kinda reminds me of the vapefly Kriemhild 80.

I have one and it’s a nice mod. It is a little heavy.

@nicotime would a side-by-side mod work for you?

If so have a look at the Vapefly Brunhilde mod.

    I have one. It's a quality mod.

I was going to mention the Target 100 since I like it a lot but was trying to stick with the same form factor.

Wow...you guys are great...this place is still as helpful as it used to be I see.

@ShowMeTwice ...Cant believe you found one. I will see if I can grab it..although I cant stop to wonder the condition of the battery. I think its been years since they we discontinued and $80 is a stiff "what do you have to loose"...hmmmm.

Cant be the Aspire ZELOS X due to the charge port on the bottom.

The Eleaf iStick Pico 2 looks like a candidate. Dont care for that top and bottom flange on the Pico Plus though.

The Vaporesso GEN 80 looks good but like Hittman said I would like to stay with the same form factor. I am always knocking over my mod as it is. Another bad habit is passing out in my chair for hours with it in my hand. But I've only had it leak once due to falling into my lap. Amazing as I do it A LOT. LOL

@hittman ... The Vapefly Kriemhild looks good. The Brunhilde I dunno. I have two Smoant Knight V1's as backups..one still NIB. They at least have the guard around them but I cant use my 24mm tank on them..only the 22mm. It works fine but are heavy.

@tiburonfirst ...I dont think I could get used to the side fire button on the Pulse AIO. I also use silicone sleeves on my mods so the magnet cover would be problematic.

I have bookmarked the Eleaf iStick iPower 80W and the Lost Vape Thelema Solo 100W Box Mod...any knowledge on them?

I really appreciate the help guys...especially you Tibs for spreading the word around. I've got some research crunching to do now.

The lost vape Thelema Solo is nice but both of the ones I bought have a little movement in the battery cover. I also have the Dna version and it’s great with no movement.

Virtually everyone says that. But once you use it for a few hours, you realize it wasn't a problem. And why would a silicone sleeve be a problem with magnetic doors? I use leather and silicone covers with magnetic doors all of the time.

Another question...whats it like ordering from Sourcemore? Are they legit? Taxes..VAT?

Yes Sourcemore is very valid. No taxes on their end.

Yes, they are legitimate. Usually it’s been my experience that shipping is slow but no taxes or Vat from my orders.
