sometimes I notice a waxy residue on the sides and bottom of the atty head. This may explain why it connects sometimes...check for that. (sometimes need scrapinf with a toothpick.. :( also, check to be sure the cone is properly attatched, it turns slightly to connect to the battery..that one took me a while to figure out :D

I don't see any residue, but I've cleaned the contacts just in case. Thanks for that little tip though. I will keep an eye out for that.

Congrats on over 6 mths, Kewldood.

Thx Natalia!!

Ok so I have a concern with my eroll battery- last night I disassembled the unit to wipe it clean & noticed one of the golden metal contacts on the atomizer end of the battery had bent over backwards (one of the two that sorta stick up a bit) and then as I tried to straighten it back into place it just broke off. Fortunately it seems my unit is still functional but I fear this might impact the eroll performance in some way. Voltage seems ok while hitting it but can't say for sure, and then more concerning is the battery seems warm when sitting in the pcc for charging. Any thoughts? Did it bend over by turning the atty when inserted? Or perhaps when cleaning? Anything else that I should be careful about when opening this up?

Also I was wondering if I can use ego-c type B atties on here. Thx

I've had it for a day now. First impression time.

Good: PCC is attractive. Size of the cig-a-like is perfect. Only takes a couple mistakes to get accustomed to the air hole placement. I've sometimes been hesitant to pull out my twist in the past, just basic human desire to not look like a weirdo -- but I'm happy to use the eRoll in public smoke friendly areas. The battery lifespan is not a problem at all for out-and-about use, I am vaping a higher mg formula and enjoy a couple minutes of vaping before putting it away and resuming my day. I actually haven't run it out prior to recharging, I'm curious how long it would go, but not curious enough to intentionally drain it. Hits like a champ, very pleased with delivery.

Bad: A little messier than the clearomizers I'm used to. Not eGo-Tank messy, but a drip on the fingers here and there while filling (using a needle point bottle). I am not annoyed by it yet, but I could see getting annoyed after a few weeks of use. I didn't get extra tanks, so the frequency of refilling is a little annoying. Even with more tanks, I'll find this a little annoying having to switch them out and use tank condoms and all that.

Overall, great purchase. Right now I'm using it for day use, with the twist for evenings and long car rides. We'll see how it stacks up after the novelty wears off!

My battery gets slightly warm charging, so hopefully that doesn't mean anything. Sorry to hear about the weird battery issue, but glad it's still working. Luckily spare batteries aren't too expensive, and they probably don't last all that long (compared to an eGo for example) before you want to replace it.

I don't know about using type B, I assume there is a reason Joye only wants me to use type A.

Hi kewldood.

sorry i can not help with the battery issue but i would certainly keep a very close eye on it.

i have heard of a few folks saying their battery would fire by itself while in the charge position in the pcc. i have had the same problem with the battery being left in the charge position after the charge had completed.

i had the pcc in my purse. i got lucky i guess. i was looking for a ponytail for my hair hehe and my hand brushed across something hot. it was the eroll pcc. by the time i got it out, the battery and atomizer were VERY hot.

if i had not been looking for a ponytail, well...who knows. i know it was hot as h@@@@@ by the time i got it out.

i called the vendor and he said "it is not advised to leave the battery in the pcc after it has charged." he said 'it is best to turn the battery around in the pcc, as it was designed to do, once charging has completed."

since i have been flipping the battery around after the charge completes, i have not had one problem. i am still using the same battery with the same pcc. so there is some issue about leaving the battery in the charge postion. once the battery finishes charging, flip that sucker around.

due to this, and the possible problem with your battery, i would make certain to turn the battery around in the pcc after it finishes charging.

as far as the type b atty, it's a no go in the eroll/emini.

the type b can not be used with the eroll/emini. it is designed for a larger tank and it will flood the eroll.

you can only use the type a atty with the eroll/emini

keep a close eye on the battery................

Angel Wings, you got lucky! Is there a "charged" indicator light? Even then, I don't want to have to monitor it. I also don't appreciate vendors that just give you a cta statement. This sounds like a serious quality control issue. I hope it is being looked into by someone. I was about to buy one but I'm not sure now.

Maybe not too safe using a damaged battery.

i agree heavyrocker. i went back a re-read his post. i was on my iphone earlier and somehow i missed the bent/broken contact. i caught the getting hot part... you need to chunk that damaged battery and use your 2nd battery that came with the kit.

after reading this post again, i went and looked at all of my batteries. none of them have the issue.

chunk it, use your spare and get another one ordered.

I have to be honest. I'm not going to flip the battery around. That's just unreasonable to ask of me, I'm not putting that much thought into the minutia of my life. It'd be like asking me to flip around the battery in my laptop or cell phone whenever it is charged, then flip it back around when I want to use it again. If this is a serious safety issue with the eRoll, I don't imagine it will be around very long. But I'm going to keep enjoying mine for the time being.

I actually dropped a egoc battery last nite and ruined it,it just wont charge.

Good news and bad news,i dropped one of my batteries on a marble floor and it went dead, good news is i got it replaced for free.Cost $20 to replace battery but i went in and wanted to try some flavour juices,i picked up 5 at $6 ea,$30,with battery thats $50 with tax=$57,i gave him $40 total,so i saved $ 17,so i paid $ 3 for battery.Forgot too mention he gave me a free juice too.

I am not saying you are wrong..I am sure many would agree with you that turning the battery seems silly. It is my (most likely overly cautious) opinion..lol.. that leaving a battery charging in a pcc when not in use is quite similar to leaving a battery charging on a wall unattended. Since I am rotating two eroll (xtra cone =2) I have made a habit of turning the eroll that is charging when I will not be using then for a bit. They charge quickly enough..again..not saying you are wrong..just throwing the idea out there :D..Three years ago I used a devise...recall on the pcc..so I do not QUITE trust the eroll pcc either.

but then again...I keep my ecigs away from my phone..keys..change..jewelry...sometimes I just think too much. scaredy cat to the core..lol

I put the battery in backwards until im sure ive drained it a good 10-20%, which is about 10-20 puffs for me i imagine.

The time i went crazy and started cooking in the case on my i took it out, took maybe 2-3 puffs, and put it back. I dont think the battery had gone low enough to register a discharge, so when i put it back i think it went into overdrive mode. It was sizzling like bacon, i could hear it pretty far away!

i dont see why everyone is loving these so much... im not having very good luck. at first they were good but im back to the provari. both my batterys are clogged feeling and have very tough draws?

Did you try taking the atty out and cleaning the inside of the battery? qtips work wonders.

Im shocked I didn't notice this before but my black pcc had a thin plastic film over it like a lcd screen comes with. It wasn't very noticeable, but the corner popped up. Peeled it off and my once scratched pcc looks brand new again. The plastic doesn't seem to scratch as badly as the film did. Anyone else miss it?
