lol...repost...
I will start you off with my c atty from the beginning.. when I first start a new atty head, I rinse it with hot water and blow out all the moisture through the flat end. .and through the post end a few times. This will eliminate any primer fluid and If there is any sticky residue on the bottom connection, I scrape that off too. After I blow out into a tissue I add a few drops of my favorite flavor directly on the wick post..and one on each "slot" alongside the wick post. Then let it sit a few minutes while I fill the tank. I use a ucan. This way I never have to pull the tank apart ..and the drops I apply to the post and "slots" are small…not messy.
the first few puffs should be light.. to be sure the liquid is flowing through the wick. If I ever get a threat of a dry hit..I pull the tank out slightly to reduce the vacuum, so the liquid hits the atty again. Every time I fill a tank, I add two or three drops to the post, so the wick stays wet.
if the flavor is muted.. your coil needs cleaning. If the flavor is harsh or acidic, it is most likely the wick is burnt. ..both repairable.
First…I recommend watching a video on dry burning an ego –t.. the c atty can actually be pried apart with a large safety pin or eyeglass screwdriver. Rinse the atty..blow dry…then put it back on the battery with the cone..without the tank. If you do this facing the mirror you can see the coils eventually glowing red. Never let it burn more than 2 or 3 seconds at a time. Burn 2 seconds ..pause 2 seconds. When the length of the coils glows evenly and quickly…rinse and repeat. You can clean the wick by pushing it out through the top of the post with a toothpick,,.,and then mash the black junk with a toothpick into a paper towel of coffee filter. They will end up a bit shorter...that’s ok. Some swear by burning the wick material clean.. it will look clean then, but I find it affects the flavor ..nasty... ok.. Re prime the coils re-prime the wick… reassemble. I usually clean each wick once, maybe twice…then replace it with the imist wick (cutting it shorter)
Personally, I do not recommend using your eroll to dry burn an atty. That is why I recommend an ego c or ecab as a backup. The manual batteries make dry burning easier. and you have more control as to the duration of each hit.
I dry burn and clean each wick every 7-10 days, sometimes more often. I have only had 3 quit working and 2 fall apart… I am still on my original atty’s (about 2 months and going strong) Also..if you notice the liquid is not flowing through the tank properly…open the side channels on the side of the tank with your large pin… the heat from the atty can cause them to collapse slightly.
