Joyetech eVic Pro Vs Cons. Why Buy????
What makes this PVD really worth the $100? I am interested in going from sticks to a Mod and would like to know whats makes this product special besides a fancy display and software that shows I vape to much. You cant put spinners on a Yugo and call it a "Pimp Ride" but still get honked at in the fast lane!!!
How will this product take my vaping to the next level? I'm not interested in dripping or sub Ohm coils (I like my face the way it is).
Anyone have some tips and tricks to make this thing sing?
Noob need schooling......... Porflavor (not ... juice)

The eVic is the only replaceable-battery-tube/box/container which you don't have to take the battery out to charge, but instead can charge it via a plug-in usb cable just like a passthrough or a cellphone. So you can get by on just one replaceable battery; and you don't have to be worrying about whether you forgot to unplug your charger with lithium battery in it at home while you were rushing to work like I did a couple days ago.

eerrr, wait;... theres this new e-lvt somebody has been promoting; dunno who makes it, but they made to to do on board charging like the evic; its a box type.

One of the very few APv's that does not use the 33hz chipset. Smoother power output.
Includes one of the better supplied Batteries
Available tube options allow size changes
Variable output during Vape - something that actually works - only available on eVic
Allow for monitoring of Volts, watts, ohms all onscreen at a glance - no menu surfing required.

Still, it all depends on what you want/need from a device.

It's only $80.00 here Joyetech eVic

The number one reason I rate it above others is the ability to update the firmware yourself. The changes from v1.0 to 1.4 have easily proved firmware updates are way cool.

It produces a constant vape.

USB (pass through) charging eliminates the need for a separate charger. Although I use a separate charger so I am not tethered to my computer via the USB cable.

Various after market tubes and end caps are available if you want to change up the looks.

You can configure it via your laptop using the MVR software so you don't need to mess with the onboard menus if you don't want to.

Haven't really found a use for the puff counter but since the home screen on the eVic is customizable you can hide the puff counter and replace it with info you find useful to you. I changed the home screen to show coil ohms and volts. So my Home screen now shows, watts, ohms, volts and battery status, pretty nice.

Programmable vape sets (RVV, RVW1, RVW2 & RVW3) so you can vary the volts/watts during your vape. If you don't want to create your own customizable vape set you can download and play with ones others have created.

Great battery life, I vape around 1700 seconds her day and get 2 full days out of the included 2600 MAH battery, better than 2 full days on the NCR18650B 3400 MAH batteries.

etc....

I like the eVc so well I bought a 2nd one and keep it put away just so I have a spare should I break my first one.

Hows the learning curve on this beast? Is there anything on the market at the moment that tops it, or is at the top of the fud chain???

You got it, you can start low and work up, end slow, start hot and vary through out, it's all on you.

The sets are RVV so one set for variable voltage and the RVW1, 2 and 3, so 3 sets for variable wattage.

the eVic is a very easy device to use ... as for top of the food chain? ... others will disagree, however, I enjoy my eVic just as much as my Provari

Not a fan of the supplied manual for learning the device. I searched YouTUbe for reviews of each firmware version 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4.

PBusardo was pretty rough on Joyetech on v1.0. The cool thing about Joyetech they used their firmware releases to correct the issues identified in Phil's review. Shows they are listening to the users.

Overall the learning curve is not bad. And there are plenty of users on here that will help you if needed.

What's better than the eVic just depends on personal preference. I think most people are loyal to their chosen device. The eVic has never let me down. There are cheaper devices and more expensive devices all with their fans.

I only paid 60bucks for my evic new in the box at the local B&M. It will fire a 1.1 ohm coil. My only complaint with it is I want more power to be able to fire sub ohm. The puff counter stuff is all crap. The new inverse display is nice when outside, it's easier to see it. So for a VW device, it's cheap, works well and looks okay. I quit charging it through the micro usb port, I just find that little plastic thing too fiddly and without fail I always try to stick it in upside down. I saw one tonight at my local vape shop and they wanted 125bucks for it. NO WAY. It works good for the money.

We got back into vaping recently and I find myself chain vaping too much. I thought that in this day of programmable home thermostats and stuff that someone could make a programmable PV that would only allow me to vape for a while and then have to put it down for a while. Just found the eVic and wondered if the program will do that?

I also like that is something breaks you can replace pieces and not the entire unit.

"Reply With Quote" sure helps clarify what someone is referring to.

Probably referring to the OP and the evic, the more I think about it;

At first impression, reading it immediately after reading the post that preceded it, it sounded like you were referring to the provari.

You can set an alarm based on vape time or puff counts but the alarms are total for the day so it will not lock you out periodically through the day it locks after the total time or puff count has been reached. I set both at never :)
